New Suit

---

That evening, Tony had Jarvis order a large spread of food. He, Kai, Pepper, and Yinsen gathered at the villa for dinner. Tony took the opportunity to drink heavily with Kai and Yinsen.

By the end of the night, Tony was completely drunk, Yinsen was a little dizzy, but Kai remained unaffected as usual.

Kai and Yinsen each held onto one of Tony's arms, helping him to his room while Pepper followed behind. After settling Tony in, Kai turned to Yinsen and said:

"Get some rest tonight. I'll be back tomorrow—Tony needs your help with an experiment."

"An experiment? What kind of experiment?" Yinsen asked, intrigued.

Kai simply smiled. "No need to be curious for now. You'll find out tomorrow. Pepper, I'll be heading out."

After saying his goodbyes, Kai left the villa.

The next morning, Kai arrived early and found Yinsen already up, practicing on the lawn. Seeing Kai, Yinsen stopped and greeted him.

"Kai, you're up early too?"

Kai raised an eyebrow. "I should be asking you that."

Yinsen chuckled. "It's a habit now. Back in Kamar-Taj, everyone got up early to train."

Kai nodded, easily imagining how hard Yinsen had worked to master the basics of magic in such a short time.

As they chatted, Pepper walked out and joined them. "Oh, Tony's still asleep—he's always like that."

"It's fine," Kai said. "He drank a lot last night. We'll wait."

None of them were surprised; they knew Tony's habits well.

A little while later, Pepper called them in for breakfast. As they were finishing up, Tony finally emerged from his room, groggy and disheveled. He greeted them briefly, took a few bites of food, and once he was fully awake, immediately dragged Kai and Yinsen to the underground lab.

Inside the lab, Tony led Yinsen to a pile of Uru metal. Yinsen stared at the shimmering material in confusion.

"Tony, what is this?"

Tony and Kai took turns explaining everything about Thor, Asgard, and the properties of Uru metal.

Yinsen listened intently, absorbing the revelation that Earth was not alone in the universe. The mention of Asgard as a powerful cosmic civilization fascinated him.

He turned his attention to the Uru metal before him. "So, this metal is highly magical and can be further strengthened through enchantments?"

Tony nodded. "Exactly. And that's why I need your help, Yinsen. We need to analyze Uru metal's properties as fast as possible—then we can start making a new suit out of it."

Kai wasn't surprised in the slightest. The moment Tony got his hands on Uru metal, he knew Tony would immediately think about building a new Iron Man suit.

At that moment, Tony suddenly remembered something. He turned to Kai and smirked. "Hey, remember that surprise I told you about?"

Kai raised an eyebrow. "Of course. What about it?"

Tony stroked his beard. "Well, I originally planned to give it to you after we dealt with Thor's situation… but now, it might have to wait a little longer." He gestured to the Uru metal. "As you can see, I'll be a bit… occupied."

Kai laughed. "Take your time, Tony. Focus on studying the Uru metal first."

Tony appreciated Kai's patience. With that, he and Yinsen got to work, diving deep into their research.

Kai observed them for a while but quickly realized that their technical jargon was beyond him. Deciding not to be a bystander, he left the villa.

He understood Tony's urgency. After witnessing the battle against the Destroyer, Tony had been frustrated by his inability to contribute. His current suit hadn't even been able to scratch the Destroyer's armor, and he had barely avoided getting hit twice. If he had been struck, there was no doubt his suit wouldn't have held up.

That helplessness was something Tony couldn't accept.

Now, with Uru metal, he had the chance to upgrade his suit and make sure he wasn't just a spectator in future battles.

With that in mind, Kai headed to his company, realizing he hadn't checked in for days.

When Ethan saw him enter, he blinked in surprise. "Well, well, look who finally remembered he owns a company."

Kai smirked. "Thanks for holding down the fort."

Ethan waved him off. "The company's running smoothly. There haven't been any major headlines recently, except for that hammer in New Mexico a while back. People got excited when they found out no one could lift it, but the hype died down quickly."

Kai knew that was because SHIELD had locked down the area, limiting public access. It was nothing unexpected.

After checking around the office, Kai was satisfied. The company was in good hands with Ethan.

"If things stay stable, I might not drop by as often," Kai said. "I'll be leaving most of the operations to you."

Ethan gave him a look. "Like you haven't already."

Kai chuckled, said his goodbyes, and left the company.
