Yinsen hesitated as he slowly pulled out his battle suit, clearly reluctant. His hesitation only made Kai even more curious.

As he turned the corner to get a better look, Kai was greeted by an unexpected sight—a bright green battle suit.

Kai blinked. Then blinked again.

What the hell…?

A battle suit in light green? Light green? Kai was so stunned that, for a second, he forgot to react.

Seeing Kai struggle to keep a straight face, Yinsen sighed in defeat. "Go ahead, laugh if you want to."

"Haha—HAHAHAHA!" Kai couldn't hold it in anymore. "Yinsen, what is this?! Why on earth is your suit light green?!"

Yinsen, looking both embarrassed and betrayed, cast a sharp glare at Tony.

Kai caught the glance immediately and turned toward Tony. "Wait… Tony picked this color, didn't he?"

Tony smirked. "Of course, I did. I picked out one for you, too, but you went with black. Shame, really. We could've been a perfect trio—red, green, and yellow!"

Kai immediately felt relieved that he had chosen black. He was about to laugh even harder but then caught a glimpse of Yinsen's miserable expression.

Feeling a little bad, he decided to help.

"Tony, actually…" Kai started, pretending to consider.

Yinsen's eyes widened—was Kai about to betray him too?!

But then Kai smirked and continued, "Green isn't the problem. Light green is. Think about it—if Yinsen goes into battle, light colors would make him too easy to spot. That's just bad design, right?"

Tony paused. "Huh. That… actually makes sense."

Kai pressed on. "So why not keep the green, but change it to dark green? Maybe even a gradient—make it look badass instead of looking like… I don't know, an overgrown glow stick."

Yinsen immediately backed Kai up. "Right, Tony! A darker green would be so much better!"

Tony frowned, reluctant at first, but then turned to Jarvis. "Jarvis, create a model with the color Kai suggested."

"Right away, sir."

The screen flickered, and a 3D model of the battle suit appeared. Within seconds, the color shifted from light green to a sleek, dark green with a subtle gradient.

The result? Surprisingly cool.

Tony folded his arms, staring at the screen. "Damn. That actually looks really good."

Before Tony could even finish processing, Yinsen jumped at the opportunity. "Yes! This! I want this!"

Seeing no reason to refuse, Tony sighed and nodded. "Fine, fine. Jarvis, start repainting."

As the automated system repainted the suit, Yinsen turned to Kai, grinning. The two high-fived.

"You saved me, man."

Kai smirked. "Hey, what are friends for?"

A few minutes later, the new and improved dark green battle suit was finished. Yinsen eagerly tried it on, checked himself out in a reflective surface, and nodded in satisfaction.

Now, this he could work with.

After taking his battle suit back to the manor, Kai debated where to store it. Originally, he planned to keep it in the basement. But after thinking it over, he decided to store it in his personal spatial inventory—he might need it in unexpected situations.

As he was adjusting the storage, Gear approached him.

"Master, I've nearly completed the first generation of the large robot. Want to see it?"

Kai's eyes lit up. He had assigned this task to Gear years ago, and now it was finally done.

"Of course! Let's go!"

Following Gear into the underground lab, Kai was met with an impressive sight—a three-story-high humanoid robot.

He walked up to it, knocking on the metal plating. The sound was solid, strong. "Did you use the Uru metal I brought back?"

Gear nodded. "I used the strongest available alloys, including Uru metal, to construct this. And if you're worried about its size, don't be. It can transform into a cube the size of a small room."

Kai raised an eyebrow. "Really? Show me."

Gear tapped a control panel. Within ten seconds, the massive robot compressed itself into a sleek, compact cube.

Kai was impressed. "Nice. Alright, tell me about its features."

Gear went on to explain the robot's advanced combat capabilities, power efficiency, and mobility functions. Satisfied, Kai arranged for a warehouse near his family's Chinatown restaurant, disguising it as a simple storage space. In reality, it would serve as the robot's base of operations.

He also assigned Turbo, a trusted AI system, to monitor the robot and provide remote control when necessary. With Turbo stationed at the restaurant, he could protect Kai's family and deploy the robot when needed.

Gear, on the other hand, would stay at the manor, available for research and further upgrades.

With these preparations in place, Kai finally felt at ease. His family's safety was secured.

Which meant…

It was time to focus on what was coming next.

The Chitauri Invasion.

Kai thought about what he knew.

The invasion wasn't random—Loki was the key player.

After falling into the void of space, Loki had met Thanos and been given the Mind Scepter, which contained the Mind Stone. Armed with it, he had the confidence to launch an invasion of Earth.

And the Scepter…

Kai's eyes gleamed with excitement.

The Scepter was an Infinity Stone weapon. And if there was one thing Kai had been waiting for, it was a second chance to copy another artifact on the level of Mjolnir.

"Finally," Kai muttered. "Another weapon I can replicate."

He clenched his fists, determination burning in his eyes.

The Chitauri Invasion wasn't just a crisis.

It was an opportunity.

And this time…

Kai was going to take full advantage of it.
