Hook/Overall Impression
  Many stories have used the “reincarnated as” trope before, making originality hard, but even then, this story stands out well. The premise of starting as a lake is interesting, and the world-building is uniquely established early on.

Strengths
If I had to highlight three standout aspects of this story, they would be:

1 Writing Style – The prose is easy to understand while remaining vivid, making for an enjoyable read.

2 World-Building – By chapter four, the world already feels intriguing and well thought-out.

3 Supporting Cast – Characters like the Ghost Thorn Tree and Gecko, while not currently central to the plot, add depth to Thorne’s character and interactions.

Areas for Improvement
While the world-building is strong early on, it risks becoming stagnant due to repetition. Thorne often stumbles into information, while more experienced characters (Like Shelley) despite having lived there longer or coming from a greater background appear strangely ignorant of details they should logically know.

Personal Enjoyment & Recommendation
Personally, I’m looking forward to seeing how the story unfolds. I recommend this novel to fans of the "reincarnated as" trope who enjoy a fresh take on the genre.
