CHAPTER 76:The End of the War, The Ones Who Escaped

Ayr knew that he had to escape with Whitebeard and the others. If the Marines pursued them, they would at least have a way to fight back.

"I see," Whitebeard nodded before resting Murakumogiri on his shoulder. Clenching his fists, he activated his Devil Fruit ability.

"Gurarararara!!"

With a powerful punch, Whitebeard shattered the space before him, his Tremor-Tremor Fruit causing ripples to spread across the battlefield.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

The air trembled as massive fissures formed, extending across the battlefield and reaching into the sea. A deafening rumble filled the sky as a colossal tsunami surged toward Beehive Island.

BOOM!!!

The entire island trembled violently. The ground split apart, buildings collapsed, and waves as tall as mountains loomed over the battlefield.

"Damn it!!" Kong growled, struggling to maintain his footing as the earth beneath him cracked apart.

The tsunami swallowed the island whole. Countless Marines were swept away, their bodies lost to the raging sea. Even high-ranking officers could do nothing against the sheer force of nature.

Brownie stood atop a crumbling ruin, his Observation Haki sweeping the battlefield. But no matter how hard he searched, he couldn't sense Ayr's presence anymore. His face contorted with rage as he clenched his fists, veins bulging on his forehead.

"Ayr!!!" Brownie roared, his voice echoing across the devastated battlefield.

The battle had cost the Marines dearly.

They had come to Beehive Island expecting an overwhelming victory, bringing their strongest forces to eliminate the Rocks Pirates.

But in the end…

They had lost an Admiral.

They had lost countless elite Marines.

And yet… not a single member of the Rocks Pirates had been killed.

This outcome was unacceptable!

---

Meanwhile...

Ayr, Whitebeard, Golden Lion, Charlotte Linlin, and Kaido had successfully escaped.

The tsunami had washed them away from Beehive Island, but Ayr had managed to carry Whitebeard to safety.

Golden Lion and Kaido, on the other hand, were rescued by Charlotte Linlin, who had summoned Zeus to lift them out of the water.

Golden Lion, still badly injured from his fight with Admiral Zhenwu, was barely able to move.

Although Charlotte Linlin was also a Devil Fruit user, she had sustained fewer injuries. By transferring a portion of her soul power into Zeus, she was able to fly and rescue the others.

Her decision to save Golden Lion wasn't an act of kindness—it was a calculated move to make him owe her a favor.

As for Kaido, she saw great potential in him. He was someone she wanted on her side.

Standing atop Zeus, the group sped away from Beehive Island, putting as much distance as possible between them and the Marines.

"Jihahahaha!!!" Golden Lion laughed, wringing seawater from his coat. "That was too damn close! I actually thought we were done for!"

He wasn't exaggerating.

With the Marines deploying the Fleet Admiral, Three Admirals, and their top forces, they should have been annihilated.

Against such overwhelming power, their survival had been nothing short of a miracle.

"Oi, Ayr." Golden Lion turned to him with an uncharacteristically serious expression. "I owe you one. If it weren't for you, I'd be dead."

Ayr scowled.

"You bastard, you almost got me killed!!!"

Golden Lion scratched his head, looking sheepish. "Ehh? How's that my fault?"

"You pretended to be knocked out, you idiot! You left me to fight both Saber Admiral and Marshal Brownie by myself!!!" Ayr shouted.

He had been locked in a life-or-death battle with an Admiral, only for the damn Fleet Admiral to join in. If not for his Six Paths Sage Mode, he would have died!

Golden Lion simply shrugged. "Come on, you know I was injured after fighting Admiral Zhenwu."

"Shut up, you bastard!!" Ayr growled.

Charlotte Linlin chuckled at their argument. "Fufufu~ Ayr, are you coming back with us to Rocks?"

Most people didn't dare to leave the Rocks Pirates. Rocks D. Xebec was a monster—anyone who betrayed him would be hunted down and killed.

But Ayr was different.

He was already stronger than most of the crew, strong enough that even Rocks would hesitate before making him an enemy. If he wanted to leave, no one could stop him.

"Why wouldn't I?" Ayr replied nonchalantly.

For now, he had no reason to leave.

As a member of the Rocks Pirates, he had access to rare Devil Fruits and powerful opponents. He could grow stronger without worrying about being hunted.

Besides, his Six Paths Sage Mode had run out. Without it, he wasn't at full strength. If he left now and Rocks decided to target him, it would be a disaster.

Charlotte Linlin frowned. "I don't get you, Ayr. You're strong enough to stand on your own. Why stay under Rocks?"

Ayr smirked.

"Don't overestimate me, Linlin."

To him, Saber Admiral and Marshal Brownie weren't that strong.

Even within the Rocks Pirates, guys like Silver Axe, Ochoku, and John were notorious enough to be remembered in history.

But these Marine Admirals?

They would be forgotten.

The fact that history barely mentioned them meant they weren't that impressive in the first place.

Charlotte Linlin and the others struggled against them only because they hadn't reached their full potential yet.

Ayr leaned back, resting against Zeus.

The war was over.

For now.

But soon, they would be back—stronger than before.
