Pokémon: Breeding Simulator [14]

[Perhaps because of Sabrina's interference, Gardevoir didn't take things any further.]

[However, despite this, Sabrina insisted that you properly discipline Gardevoir. You felt helpless, but after considering what had just happened, you had to admit… she had a point.]

---

That night, in Elias's room.

"Gardevoir, do you realize what you did wrong?" Elias stood at the bedside, looking at her sternly.

"Garde~"

No longer in her [Mega Evolution] form, Gardevoir placed her hands in front of her and let out a soft, apologetic cry.

It was clear—she knew exactly what she had done wrong.

Seeing this, Elias's expression softened slightly, but he still made sure to emphasize:

"If anything like this happens again, I will be on top. Understood?"

Earlier, Gardevoir had very clearly been trying to pin him down, and that was not something Elias was going to tolerate.

"Garde…"

Gardevoir's response was even more pitiful now.

And just like that, the "disciplinary meeting" ended—one that would have undoubtedly sent Sabrina's blood pressure skyrocketing.

---

[When you informed Sabrina that Gardevoir had deeply reflected on her actions, she remained skeptical but at least stopped following you around all the time.]

[That same year, after everything that had happened, you realized that your current Pokémon lineup was somewhat lacking. So, you decided to capture another one.]

[In the end, you chose Mt. Moon as your destination.]

[According to Giovanni's intel, there had been recent traces of Mew's presence in the area. You figured you might get lucky.]

At Mt. Moon, Elias walked along the rugged path, occasionally glancing at the obedient Gardevoir beside him. A small smile appeared on his lips.

"Now that you've evolved into Gardevoir, you really have matured a lot."

Before, he had considered adding another Pokémon to his team, but Gardevoir had strongly protested every time, forcing him to abandon the idea.

But this time, when he brought it up again, she had agreed surprisingly quickly.

There had been no pouting, no complaints—nothing like before.

Reflecting on this, Elias felt even better.

"Garde~"

Gardevoir nodded as if it was only natural.

But as they continued walking, Elias started to notice something off.

"Gardevoir, don't you think there are too few Pokémon around today?"

So far, he had barely seen any Pokémon. The most common ones were Caterpie and Weedle—slow-moving Pokémon that didn't run away easily.

Not even a single Clefairy had appeared.

Mt. Moon without Clefairy? What a joke.

This eerie silence reminded him of the time years ago when Team Rocket had poisoned the forests to capture Pokémon.

"Could it be that Giovanni is also conducting a Mew capture operation today?" Elias speculated.

Upon hearing his suspicions, Gardevoir's gaze darted around nervously.

At the same time, without Elias noticing, she subtly increased the soft blue glow on her fingertips.

Once she finished, she let out a quiet breath of relief and returned to standing innocently beside him, her face as composed as ever.

However, for a split second, a glint of satisfaction flashed across her delicate features.

Sure, I agreed to let Elias catch another Pokémon… but whether or not he actually succeeds?

That's another matter entirely.

Just then, a faint whimper reached their ears from below.

"Vui~"

Both Elias and Gardevoir looked down at the same time, only to see a small brown-furred Eevee.

"Eevee?"

Elias was surprised.

He had been using his psychic abilities to scan the area the whole time, yet he hadn't noticed this Eevee approaching at all.

On the other hand, Gardevoir was even more shaken.

Why is there an Eevee here?!

She had been subtly using her psychic energy to repel Pokémon. Apart from slow-moving ones like Caterpie, all the other Pokémon should have already fled.

So how had an Eevee—a species known for being naturally cautious—managed to wander right up to them?

Just as she prepared to amplify her psychic field and drive it away—

The Eevee suddenly crouched, then leaped straight onto Elias's chest.

Startled, Elias instinctively caught it. Once he steadied his hold, he realized that Eevee's target had never been him—but the Pokéblocks in his chest pocket.

"Vui~"

As soon as it snagged one and took a bite, a satisfied expression spread across Eevee's face.

Gardevoir, on the other hand, felt her temper skyrocket.

"That's MY Pokéblock!" she seethed.

If she weren't worried about hurting Elias, she would have already dealt with this little thief.

But before Elias could calm his furious Gardevoir, Eevee turned to face her.

Then, with a mischievous twinkle in its eye, it lifted a tiny paw to its mouth… and let out a soft snicker.

That was it.

That was the moment Gardevoir lost it.

With a wave of her hand, she ripped Eevee out of Elias's arms with psychic energy.

Suspended midair, Eevee barely had time to react before Gardevoir launched several [Psycho Cuts] at it.

The invisible blades cut through the air with sharp whooshing sounds.

Though the attack looked powerful, Gardevoir had clearly taken Eevee's lower strength into account, making sure it wouldn't cause serious harm.

Elias expected Eevee to use [Protect] or something similar to defend itself.

Instead, midair, the tiny Normal-type opened its mouth—

And activated [Bite].

Elias's eyes widened.

Wait, is this thing actually trying to use [Bite] against a psychic attack?

That's even more insane than trying to catch a falling sword with bare hands!

By the time he realized what was happening, it was already too late to intervene.

The [Psycho Cuts] collided directly with Eevee's jaws—

BOOM—!

A burst of energy exploded from the impact.

Yet when the dust settled, Eevee remained completely unharmed—its tiny mouth clamping down as if it had just crunched through a biscuit.

Then, with a graceful backflip, it landed firmly on the ground.

Before Elias or Gardevoir could even process what had just happened, Eevee vanished in a blur of motion—

And reappeared right at Elias's feet.

Then, with pinpoint precision, it lifted a paw—

And tapped one of the Poké Balls on his belt.

A red flash enveloped it—

And just like that, Eevee was sucked inside.

Click.

A crisp locking sound echoed through the air.

Eevee… had been successfully captured.

Gardevoir watched the entire process in utter disbelief.

By the time she snapped out of it, the reality of what had just happened hit her all at once.

A storm of emotions—anger, frustration, and injustice—surged through her heart.

"Elias, can't you just throw that Eevee away?" she pleaded, clinging to his arm and trying her best to sound persuasive.

Still recovering from what had just happened, Elias helplessly patted her head.

"I'll make you some new Pokéblocks when we get back. But Eevee literally jumped into the Poké Ball on its own—there's no way I can just release it now."

Realizing she had lost, Gardevoir let out a heavy sigh of resignation.

She deeply regretted her actions today.

She had gone through all the trouble of scaring away the other Pokémon—

Only to end up with an even bigger threat in the team.

Meanwhile, as Elias reflected on the odd way Eevee had snickered earlier…

He couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.

Eevee… doesn't usually cover its mouth with its paw and giggle, does it?
