Pokémon: Breeding Simulator [53]

Elias stared in surprise at the sudden transformation occurring within the fish tank.

As a trainer, he naturally understood what this meant.

As the bright white glow intensified, Feebas leapt from the cramped tank.

In midair, its once Magikarp-like body gradually elongated, its rough surface smoothing into flowing scales. Two long tendrils extended from its head, and its tail unfurled into several elegant, fin-like extensions.

"Miu~"

A light, melodious cry rang out as the glow finally faded.

A long, serpentine Pokémon with a creamy body and translucent blue tail fins appeared before Elias.

Compared to the dull, sluggish Feebas from mere moments ago, the transformation was nothing short of a complete metamorphosis.

"Milotic." Elias murmured the name.

His expression carried both surprise and delight—he hadn't expected Feebas to evolve so quickly.

"Miu~"

Hearing Elias's voice, Milotic swam gracefully forward.

With a gentle flick of her tail, she effortlessly coiled around him, pulling him into a firm embrace.

The cool sensation of her scales gliding against his skin made Elias shiver involuntarily.

Before he could react, a long, slender tongue flicked out, trailing a warm breath along his neck.

"Milotic!"

The unexpected sensation sent a jolt through Elias, and he hastily called out to stop the overly affectionate Pokémon.

Perhaps it was his command that made her stop, or perhaps it was something else.

Milotic quickly ceased her antics, blinking her large, watery eyes at him with an innocent expression—elegant and serene, perfectly living up to the title of the most beautiful Pokémon.

Just as Elias was about to sigh in relief, a cold voice suddenly echoed in his mind:

"What are you two doing?"

At some point, Latias had appeared at the doorway, frowning as she took in the scene before her.

Her tone was sharper than ever, as if she had just caught her child doing something highly inappropriate.

This was the first time Elias had ever heard Tias speak to him in such an icy voice.

Faced with the overwhelming pressure, he instinctively lowered his head like a child caught misbehaving.

"Tias, listen to me, I can expl—"

"What did you just call me?" Latias cut him off coldly.

Elias froze for a moment before muttering in a subdued voice:

"...Mom..."

Seeing him comply so obediently, the inexplicable anger burning within Latias subsided slightly.

There was nothing unusual about a trainer being close with their Pokémon.

And yet, when she had opened the door and witnessed that scene, an uncontrollable surge of fury had swallowed her rationality whole.

It felt as if something that belonged to her had suddenly been taken away.

Latias convinced herself that this reaction was merely a sign of how much she cared about Elias—nothing more.

---

[That night, it took a long time to finally soothe Tias' mood.]

[Perhaps out of consideration for her "motherly" role, Milotic was unexpectedly cooperative and admitted fault.]

[Even so, once the tension faded, you couldn't help but feel something was off. Based on your observations, Tias was not someone who disliked Pokémon—so why had she reacted so strongly?]

[Your instincts told you that this, too, was linked to her secret.]

[The following year, you became interested in the profession of Pokémon breeders and began studying the art of crafting Pokéblocks.]

"Elias, what's this?" Latias poked her head over.

Noticing the pink cube in Elias's hand, she sniffed the air, catching an irresistibly sweet aroma.

A sudden hunger gnawed at her stomach.

Latias was certain—these little cubes smelled far more delicious than any berry she had ever eaten!

"Pokéblocks."

Seeing her curiosity, Elias chuckled and picked one up, bringing it close to her lips.

"Want to try one? It's made for Pokémon, but humans can eat them too."

The tempting treat was right at her mouth, and Latias was just about to take a big bite.

But upon hearing Elias's explanation—that this was Pokémon food—she hesitated.

"S-Since it's for Pokémon... maybe I shouldn't eat it after all."

Her gaze wavered, avoiding direct eye contact. She was terrified of doing anything that might expose her identity.

However, her internal struggle was far too obvious for Elias to miss.

Though he wasn't sure why his mother was being so stubborn about something so trivial, he had a way to make her eat it regardless.

"Are you sure you don't want to try one?"

He teasingly brushed the Pokéblock against her lips.

The enticing aroma lingered there, and Latias couldn't help but swallow reflexively. Her desire to take a bite grew stronger.

But with great determination, she turned her head away.

Unfortunately, the small resolve she had built crumbled instantly with Elias's next words—

"If you don't eat it, Milotic will get them all instead."

A sly glint flickered in his eyes as he spoke.

He was certain—if he mentioned Milotic, Tias would never be able to maintain her composure.

Sure enough, the moment he finished speaking, Latias' warm lips had already clamped down on the Pokéblock.

And perhaps because she had bitten down too hard, Elias's fingers ended up in her mouth as well.

"Mmph..."

After finishing the treat, Latias finally realized she had fallen right into Elias's trap again.

With a small huff, she turned bright red and hurriedly ran back to her room.

---

[From that day on, you began secretly incorporating ground-up Pokéblocks into her meals.]

[As expected, Tias' appetite noticeably improved, and she even praised your cooking skills.]

[Her compliments left you deep in thought—you weren't sure if it was because your mother naturally preferred Pokémon food, or if…]

[You kept that suspicion to yourself, telling no one.]

[But from then on, in your spare time, you started researching which Pokémon had the ability to transform into humans.]
