"Dr. Carlisle, I'm giving you one last chance. I have the divorce papers right here in my hand."
"Stop throwing a tantrum. It's not too late to come back now."
I simply drop two firm words, "Divorce. Agreed."
Carter is wailing on the other end, "Well done, Dr. Carlisle, well done. You'd better not come crawling back begging me..."
I can't be bothered to listen to his ranting and hang up the phone.
The next day, I planned to go to the scene to find some clues, but on the way, my mentor suddenly called me.
His wife was sick again, and he asked me to cover the clinic. I drove straight there.
Unexpectedly, I ran into Carter with Sarah. This time, the little boy wasn't with them.
Carter looked surprised to see me, with a hint of delight, but still maintained his attitude.
"What are you doing here?"
"Did you come specifically to find me?" His tone dripped with sarcasm.
