1. The Ghost's Trail
Jinwoo sat in the dimly lit hideout, the name Seo Min-jae echoing in his mind. His fingers drummed against the table.
Min-jae wasn't just The Architect's right-hand man—he was a ghost, a shadow in the underworld that no one ever saw coming.
And the bastard had killed his brother.
Hye-jin paced beside him. "If Min-jae is involved, this isn't just a game anymore. It's a damn war."
Dae-hyun exhaled. "We need to find him first."
Jinwoo's eyes darkened. "I already have a lead."
He slid a burnt matchbook across the table. On the back, scribbled in ink, was a name.
"Jade Dragon Lounge."
Hye-jin's eyes widened. "That's a Triad-owned club."
Jinwoo smirked. "Then let's go say hi."
---
2. The Jade Dragon Lounge
The neon lights of Itaewon cast a glow over the streets as they pulled up near the club.
Jinwoo adjusted his coat. "Dae-hyun, stay outside. If things go south, I need you ready."
Dae-hyun sighed. "Yeah, yeah. I know the drill."
Hye-jin slid her knife into her boot. "Let's go."
Inside, the Jade Dragon Lounge pulsed with music and smoke. The air smelled of whiskey and sweat.
Jinwoo scanned the room. Triad enforcers lined the walls, their eyes sharp.
Then, he saw him.
A man with cold, dead eyes sitting in the VIP section, sipping a drink.
Seo Min-jae.
Jinwoo's grip tightened. This was the man who killed his brother.
---
3. A Bloodied Warning
Jinwoo moved toward Min-jae, but before he could take another step—
A hand clamped down on his shoulder.
"You lost, friend?" a massive Triad enforcer sneered.
Jinwoo smirked. "Yeah. Looking for someone."
The enforcer chuckled. "No one's looking for you."
Jinwoo sighed. Wrong answer.
With a lightning-fast move, he grabbed the enforcer's wrist, twisted—SNAP.
The man screamed.
Chaos erupted.
Hye-jin's knife flashed, slicing through another attacker's arm.
Jinwoo moved like a storm, dodging, striking—taking down everyone in his way.
Min-jae watched, unfazed.
Then, as the last enforcer hit the ground, Min-jae finally stood.
He clapped. Slowly.
"You're late, Jinwoo."
Jinwoo's breath caught. Min-jae had been expecting him.
Then, without warning—
Gunfire.
---
4. Smoke and Ashes
Jinwoo dove behind a table as bullets ripped through the lounge.
Hye-jin fired back, taking down two gunmen.
But Min-jae was already walking away, untouched.
Jinwoo gritted his teeth. Not this time.
He pushed forward, dodging gunfire, shoving past bodies—
Just as he reached the exit, a massive explosion erupted outside.
The blast sent him flying backward.
Smoke. Fire. Screams.
Jinwoo's ears rang as he stumbled to his feet.
Through the flames, he saw a black car speeding away.
Min-jae was gone.
Jinwoo clenched his fists, rage burning in his chest.
This wasn't over.
Not even close.
