Chapter 72: The Shadow Moves

---

1. A King's Rage

Jinwoo sat alone in his penthouse, staring at the Seoul skyline.

The city lights flickered like stars, but his mind was far from the view.

Hyun-seok had planned every step.

The ambush. The heist. The taunt.

And worst of all—Jinwoo had let it happen.

His grip tightened around his glass of whiskey.

He wouldn't let it slide.

Ji-hyun entered the room. "We lost a lot of ground today."

Jinwoo exhaled slowly. "We're getting it back."

She studied him. "How?"

He set his glass down. "We start a war."

Ji-hyun's eyes sharpened. "Against who?"

Jinwoo's lips curled into a cold smile.

"Everyone."

2. The Offer They Can't Refuse

The next night, the underground leaders gathered at an abandoned warehouse near Incheon Port.

Drug lords. Arms dealers. Fixers.

Every power player in Seoul's underworld.

And at the head of the table—Jinwoo.

He placed a sealed folder on the table.

"Hyun-seok stole from me," Jinwoo said calmly. "That makes him an enemy."

The room was silent.

Everyone knew what was at stake.

"But here's the problem," Jinwoo continued. "He didn't just take from me. He took information that affects all of us."

He tapped the folder.

"Names. Deals. Corrupt politicians. Accounts. If Hyun-seok decides to leak even a fraction of what he stole…"

The silence grew heavier.

A man in a dark suit leaned forward. Kang Min-chul, a notorious smuggler.

"You're saying he has dirt on all of us?"

Jinwoo nodded.

"And you expect us to help you clean up your mess?" another voice scoffed.

Jinwoo smirked. "No."

He opened the folder and slid out a single page.

On it—a list of names.

"Hyun-seok has already started selling information," Jinwoo said. "And these are the first names on the hit list."

Eyes scanned the page.

Men paled.

One of them cursed under his breath.

"By the end of the week," Jinwoo said, "half of you will be in the ground… unless we work together."

Silence.

Then—one by one, heads nodded.

Jinwoo had turned Hyun-seok's weapon against him.

Now, Seoul's underground was his army.

3. The First Strike

Jinwoo wasted no time.

The next day, a high-ranking member of Hyun-seok's network was found dead.

Two more disappeared.

By nightfall, Hyun-seok's allies were running scared.

Jinwoo stood in the shadows of an old rooftop, watching the city move beneath him.

Ji-hyun stepped up beside him. "He's going to retaliate."

Jinwoo's eyes were cold. "I'm counting on it."

Because Hyun-seok had made one mistake.

He thought Jinwoo was still the same man who ran five years ago.

But Jinwoo wasn't running anymore.

He was hunting.

And this time—he wouldn't stop until Hyun-seok was dead.
