A brief battle and an unsavory bunch

After practicing for days, Utsumi's teleportation magic was nearly perfected in a short amount of time. Also, since Utsumi had learned how to control her Mana, she could wrap her Mana around other people to teleport them as well.

Shayde insisted that Utsumi should keep that a secret between themselves because Teleportation is one of the most sought-after spells in the entire world. This didn't surprise Utsumi that much, but she did agree to keep that much a secret between the two of them.

Of course, after Utsumi and Shayde had touched down on the ground to the sudden surprise of the trio that was originally taking on, the Ice Bear jumped in fear as the two of them suddenly appeared in front of them.

Utsumi swiftly turned around and made a peace sign over her eye with her signature beaming smile.

"We'll handle it from here!"

However, a large and burly man quickly walked forward. He was about two times taller than Itsumi and had a black eye patch covering his left eye. His opposite eye was the color black and based and with the black horns that prodded on his forehead, it was obvious that he was also a Dragon-kin.

"You two think you can steal our rewards?!"

Even though the loud projection of his voice would have likely scared a usual girl Itsumi's height away, Itsumi instead ignored the man and quickly cast a magic barrier around the Ice Bear, Itsumi, and Shayde.

"How foolish can that man be? Both he and his companions are barely hanging on for dear life and he talks about stealing prey…"

Itsumi rolled her eyes as she walked toward Shayde, who was preparing to strike the Ice Bear. Shayde's violet-shaded Mana began to glow and swirl in her palm with a fierce intensity. The swirling orb of Violet Mana then started to shake the ground beneath them.

"Oho~ so you even held back when you showed me this the first time Shayde!"

Shayde rolled her eyes while a slight blush of embarrassment came from Utsumi's praise. She quickly rushed toward the Ice Bear in an instant, shoving the violet-shaded orb filled with Shadow Mana into the Ice Bear's head.

A Massive explosion of Shadow Mana filled the barrier with a bright violet light and quickly dissipated just as suddenly as it had appeared. After such, Utsumi dissipated the magic barrier, and the shadow Mana slowly dispersed.

Utsumi walked over to the group of three, still displaying a bright smile.

"Do any of you need me to treat your wounds?"

However, the same man who had shouted at Utsumi earlier displayed the same indifferent expression. Shayde walked over beside Utsumi, which made the man appear even more enraged.

"Now I understand what's going on. You rotten Nobles think you can steal whatever you want, eh?!"

The man's sudden snarl surprised Utsumi, who had never expected this man to become this angry just because they killed a monster that was about to kill him.

"Steal what? You do realize you're talking to the Crown Princess of Dragovia, right? Why would she need to steal anything from you? Also, did we not just save your life?"

However, the man's snarl intensified as he stomped forward to make eye contact with Utsumi.

"I would rather die than accept help from you greedy bastards!"

After giving his piece, he walked past Utsumi and Shayde with his other two companions, who fiercely glared at the pair without even casting another gaze at the remains of the Ice bear.

After the trio had left, Utsumi looked over to Shayde, who cast a dejected gaze as she looked at the ground. Utsumi, seeing Shayde's mood sour, grew angry and walked toward where the trio that they had saved went.

"Stay right here Shayde, I'm going to make them apologize to you!"

However, before Utsumi could head toward them, Shayde grabbed her hand tightly and fiercely shook her head with a wry smile.

"There is no need, Utsumi. Nothing they said was incorrect."

Hearing the words from Shayde's mouth made Utsumi even more enraged, but if Shayde said it was okay, then she technically didn't have any business pursuing it any further.

Shade began to head toward the gate of Dragovia, signaling for Utsumi to follow, which led to Utsumi casting a fierce glare in the direction that the trio went before quickly following.

"This city is Amazing!"

After Shayde had gotten clearance for Utsumi to enter Dragovia, she was amazed by the nation. Hundreds of Dragon-kin flew over the streets and there were restaurants that floated amidst the air to which Utsumi could only imagine the beautiful scenery of eating in the sky.

She wanted to immediately start flying as well, but Shayde urged Utsumi to get a flying license first. Shayde wanted to keep Utsumi's identity a secret until she got used to living in the city. Revealing that Shayde had brought home a real pure-blooded human would immediately shake up the entire nation and the news would quickly be leaked to other races.

Shayde even suspected that countries would be willing to wage war for the use of my power. Utsumi didn't really have any interest in getting into political conflicts in this world, so she didn't mind heeding Shayde's requests.

Moreover, Utsumi was happy that she had come to Dragovia, even though it had some of the feel that a traditional Medieval city would look like in the old fantasy novels she read in her past life Dragovia had managed to do things that humans weren't able to do in her past life.

"Shayde, how long will it take until I can get a flight license?"

Shayde had agreed to take Utsumi around the city before returning to the Palace with her. Since Utsumi didn't have any money or a place to stay, Shayde was going to let her stay at the Royal Dragovian Palace.

"Uh, you should be able to get it tomorrow. The only reason you can't get one today is because you don't have a Guild License. I'm gonna take you to get one now since you have seen some of the city."

Utsumi looked toward Shayde with a slight gaze of confusion when Shayde mentioned the word Guild License. Shayde understandingly so noticed Utsumi's confusion and stopped walking to briefly explain.

"Guilds are places that Hunters take requests from in order to make money. With your strength, you should be able to make plenty of money by taking requests from the Dragovia guild. However, if you register with their guild, you have to consult with them whenever you want to take a request from another Guild."

Utsumi nodded her head in understanding after hearing Shayde's explanation. 'So, it's sort of like signing an exclusive contract with them. By doing so, I suppose the guild keeps the power of the 'Hunters' in check. However, there is really no reason for me to care about that right now since I just want to have fun and hang out with Shayde.'

"Okay then, let's go to the Guild."

Utsumi quickly came to a decision, which actually surprised Shayde.

"Utsumi, I can always put in a private request for a flying license. It will take longer, but then you wouldn't be forced to be tied down by this nation in case you wanted to leave…"

Shayde fidgeted her fingers as she spoke with a bit of embarrassment and an obvious sense of guilt.

"Shayde, I plan on staying here for the time being, so you don't need to worry so much. I doubt I would need to take requests somewhere else, anyway. So, you don't need to feel guilty about it."

Shayde nodded in response before grabbing Utsumi by the hand. Her violet-shaded wings suddenly sprouted from her back. Utsumi had noticed that Shayde's dress had two holes in the back, which was probably to prevent any tearing whenever Shayde called on her wings.

"Alright Utsumi, hold on tight."

Shayde suddenly leaped into the air accompanied by the gentle flapping of her wings as she flew upwards to a massive building. The building read the 'Guild of Dragovia' on a sign near the entrance. After Shayde and Utsumi had gotten close, they landed right in front of the door.

Utsumi had hardly noticed because the trip was so short, but they were about fifty meters in the air. How were they able to get their buildings to float like this? It's so sci-fi!'

While Utsumi followed Shayde into the Guild entrance, the first sight she was greeted by was a tall red-haired Dragon-kin blocking the way and she quickly stared down Shayde with a menacing glare.

"I can't believe the Shadow Princess is gracing us with her presence ~ how many more souls have you brought with you? fufufu."

Shayde dejectedly looked down at the floor, which quickly caused Utsumi's anger to rise. Unbeknownst to her, some of the Magical Presence she had been suppressing started leaking out as she glared back at the Dragon-kin.

"Your soul will be next if you don't shut your mouth."
