Lynx’s POV
I hadn’t expected her to respond with those four simple words, but it didn’t stop the smile from taking hold of me.
“What the hell are you so giddy about?” Logan asked, tossing his bag into the backseat.
I quickly locked my phone and pocketed it. I would reply as soon as I dropped him off and was alone. I wasn't embarrassed to talk to her, but I didn’t need Logan sticking his nose where it didn’t belong. He had a gift for ruining things for me before they even began.
“None of your business,” I replied.
“As long as it doesn’t have anything to do with that girl, I couldn't care less.” He rolled his eyes and opened the passenger door before waving someone over. “You don’t mind dropping off Noelle either, right?”
I knew better than to believe that he was asking permission. He had already given her the green light to get in, he was just daring me to say no.
When are you free? The message came into my mind like a freight train.
