Brie's POV
Four years. I had known Logan Peak for four years and never once had he apologized to me.
I had to pinch myself the entire conversation to keep from going insane. Logan Peak had for the first time in four years apologized for something and to make matters worse, I saw those haunted green eyes.
When Logan walked off, those green eyes followed me, boring into me as if studying me for memory. I wasn’t sure why he was there, but I was hoping he’d return. It was most likely my only chance to apologize for my father’s behavior the night he dropped me home after the party.
I had searched for him at the gym, but whenever I went, he wasn’t there. I wasn’t brave enough to visit the Peak house without an invitation and ask for him, so I had to rely on seeing him by chance. What luck that’s given me.
