He absolutely hated me, and I couldn’t care less. Brie deserved an apology and she was going to get one. I couldn't force Noelle, but I could influence Logan. If he refused, there was always the lingering threat of Mom and Dad.

He was more than capable of finding his own way to school, but I had to make sure he really apologized to her. Plus, those amber eyes haunted me at night. I didn’t have any other way to see her, to talk to her besides waiting around the gym for her. It seemed every time I went, she wasn’t there.

Was she avoiding me? Had her father warned her from me as he warned me from her?

“I have unfinished business here and once it’s finished, I’ll be moving far away,” I informed him.
