Chapter 3

Nanna shot me a sidelong glance. "That bathtub is for Sunny's exclusive use. No one else is allowed to use it."

"Have you lost your mind? Freesia is the young master of this house!" I shouted angrily.

Nanna snorted through her nose, casting a glance at Freesia. Her eyes were filled with disdain.

At that moment, Sunny called out from the adjacent room, "Nanna, bring me some fruit!"

"Right away, coming!" Nanna instantly switched to an affectionate tone and scurried off to cut some fruit.

I was seething with anger. When did the housekeeper start forgetting who the real owners of this house were?

And for what reason did Sunny start treating himself like the young master of the house?

I still remember when Sunny first arrived, with his bleached blonde hair and baggy pants. I didn't have a good impression of him.

He was disrespectful to everyone, not even showing regard for his own mother, Ms. Stratton.

Upon seeing Freesia, Sunny insisted that Freesia play ball with him, seemingly treating Freesia like a normal child.

I initially thought that since Sunny was willing to play with Freesia, he couldn't be all that bad.Despite playing ball together, Sunny always deliberately aimed to hit Freesia on the head, laughing with delight each time.

I expressed my displeasure about this to Nolan, but he responded:

"You're just too overprotective of Freesia, which is preventing him from growing up to be a real man."

"Freesia needs to interact with normal boys and understand what their world is like."

Nolan's words weren't entirely without merit.

It was also on his recommendation that I enrolled in a year-long out-of-town training program. This program was supposed to open up a child's mind and help autistic children break out of their own world.

I'd do anything for Freesia. But the current situation isn't what I had hoped for.

I can't help but regret my decision. Would Freesia be better off if I hadn't left?

As I was lost in thought, loud music suddenly blasted from Sunny's room.

Freesia, who had just calmed down, was startled again. He started whimpering and crawled under the table, hugging his head.

He moved so quickly that he hit his head hard on the corner of the table, but he didn't even dare to cry out loud.

My heart felt like it was being torn apart. I wanted to comfort him, but I couldn't even get close.I strode into the next room and ordered Sunny to turn off the stereo. "Shut it off!"

Sunny looked at me, bobbing his head and feigning innocence as he shouted, "What?"

"I'll say it one more time - turn it off!" I yelled.

Sunny closed his eyes, pretending to be lost in the music.

Seeing him play dumb, I walked straight over and yanked the plug out of the wall.

The music cut off abruptly.

"What the hell are you doing?" Sunny rushed up to me, his eyebrows furrowed in anger, his hot breath hitting my face.

"Don't you know Freesia hates noise that loud?" I snapped.
