Matters of territory

Author thanks to Chris_Reyes_3054 for sending power stones.

Moments later, everyone gathered in the meeting hall.

The first to speak was Ka Ryo Ten.

"Lord, our scouts have returned. They've brought back some military supplies, health potions, coins, food, and seeds."

"We also found traces of goblins and scattered wolf packs."

"Good." Shin nodded, his expression calm but focused. "With the influx of population, the two new brackets, and my newest wives and their warriors, we should have enough soldiers to handle tonight's attack."

"Now," he continued, "as of last night, we were attacked by the following forces:

• First-level goblins: 2,000

• Second-level goblins: 1,000

• First-level hobgoblins: 1,100

• First-level goblin cavalry: 550

• First-level goblin shamans: 100

• Third-level goblins: 400

• Second-level goblin cavalry: 400

• Third-level hobgoblins: 500

• Fourth-level hobgoblins: 400

• Second-level goblin shamans: 300

• Fourth-level goblin chieftains: 5

• Fifth-level goblin king: 1**

"We've gained levels and items to increase our territory's strength."

"As a territory," Shin added, "we need to gather these materials to upgrade Dragon Mountain:

• 10 Emperor-level monster crystals

• 100 tons of gold

• 50 tons of Centennial serpentine wood

• 100 tons of Legendary essence

• 50,000 magic crystals

• 50 gallons of my dragon blood

• 50 gallons of succubus essence

• 100 tons each of Uru, Orichalcum, Mithril, and meteoric iron

"Heart has already detailed the advantages of upgrading the mountain."

Lara stepped forward.

"Husband," she began, "I will use my business acumen to locate these materials. We should also prioritize finding more mines. However, the hardest to obtain will be the Centennial serpentine wood, Legendary essence, and succubus essence. The first two are legendary materials, while succubus essence can only be obtained if a succubus receives her heart mark or becomes pregnant."

"And the only way to receive the mark," Lara added, "is to satisfy a succubus perfectly."

Shin let out a long sigh.

"For now, I'll check the market. We'll keep searching for the legendary materials and try to find them in treasure chests."

"I want the troops split into groups to:

1. Hunt for meat.

2. Kill monsters.

3. Search for mines.

4. Collect the scattered wolf packs."**

"If possible," Shin added, "search for the Lizardman and Ogre tribes. And don't forget to gather resources. After the meeting, I plan to visit the town Ri Shin discovered yesterday. I'll buy slaves, check the market and tavern, and find out when the next auction will take place."

"Now," Shin said, "do we need any talents for the territory?"

Wendy was next to speak.

"My lord, we're in need of artisans, magicians, and healers. And as the First Ladies have probably mentioned, we also need more soldiers for their two brackets."

"Thank you for the insight, Wendy," Shin replied. "I'll try to recruit or purchase slaves with these talents. I'll also check the player market and auctions for any recruitment scrolls that might help."

"I've already asked Hephaestus to focus on arrows, bows, and ballistae," Shin continued. "Is there anything else to discuss?"

Mark raised a hand.

"My lord, are you planning to create a cavalry?"

"Yes," Shin nodded. "I plan to form two cavalry units—one with horses and the other with tigers and wolves. I'll imbue them with my dragon blood and boost their power by naming them."

"If there's nothing else," Shin concluded, "I call this meeting to a close."

Suddenly, John burst into the room, breathing heavily.

"My lord! We have three groups pledging their loyalty to you and the territory!"

"Three groups?" Shin's eyes narrowed.

"Yes, my lord. Dragons, phoenixes, and… succubi and incubi."

Shin let out a laugh.

"I guess I was right."

Shego smirked.

"Seems like it, dear."

Velzard, however, narrowed her eyes and crossed her arms.

"You are not to sleep with any of those succubi unless they're absolutely loyal to you. Are we clear?"

The four women glared at him in unison.

"Yes, dear," Shin replied quickly.

"Let's go meet our new subjects," Shin said with a smile.

"We can integrate the females into the phoenix core and both genders into the dragon core."

"Yes, dear," Shego agreed, her grin widening. "Let's get this done."

As they registered the new residents, Shin opened the player market and purchased the following items:

• Two Level 3 Ice Mage Recruitment Scrolls

• A small Moonstone and iron mine

• A Potion Scroll to repair broken mana cores

• Level 2 Healer Recruitment Scrolls

• An Earth Mage Recruitment Scroll

• Three Magic Cannons

• A Tavern

• Knowledge of Silk Production

Shin was pleased with his finds, especially since he had managed to exchange unnecessary items from the previous battle.

After placing two of the Magic Cannons and the Tavern, Shin had the remaining Magic Cannon sent to his blacksmiths to see if they could replicate it.

Shego and Velzard returned soon after.

"Husband," Shego reported, "we've each recruited 100 soldiers. They've settled into their brackets and begun training."

"Good," Shin nodded. "I'm heading to the temple. Would you all like to accompany me?"

"Yes, dear," they responded in unison.

"After visiting the temple," Shin added, "we'll check out what my father left for me in Dragon Mountain. Then, we can go shopping."

All the girls brightened at the thought of exploring the town and seeing what it had to offer.
