Adrian's POV
The Silas mansion loomed ahead, its towering gates parting like the entrance to a kingdom.
The moment the car stopped, I stepped out, dragging Josh along with me.
Before I could take two steps, a blur of movement shot toward me.
A young woman, eyes wide with worry, sprinted down the grand staircase.
"Darling, slow down, you'll fall!" a deep, composed voice called behind her, but she didn't listen.
She reached me in seconds, scanning Josh in panic. "What happened to my son?!"
"Nothing serious," I said coolly. "Just a little heartbreak."
The man behind her suddenly burst into laughter.
"Whoever broke his heart deserves a reward," he chuckled.
Before I could react, the woman whipped around and kicked him.
"I also wonder who's sleeping outside tonight," she said sweetly.
The amusement drained from his face. He shut up immediately.
I nearly scoffed. These were the Pack's Beta and Gamma? The same couple feared across territories? Watching them bicker like this was almost unsettling.
Josh stirred, blinking groggily before finally recognizing where he was.
The next second, he shrugged me off and staggered inside on his own.
I raised a brow. Maybe he wasn't that drunk after all.
His mother rushed after him, her concern shifting.
"Darling, wait!" the man called, hurrying after her.
Shaking my head, I turned back to my car.
"Take me home."

Adrian's POV
The moment I stepped inside, something flew straight at me.
Instinct kicked in. I dodged.
A slipper smacked the wall behind me.
I exhaled. "Is that how you welcome your son home?"
"Which son?" my mother snapped. "Because my son doesn't come home at this time of night!"
I smirked. "Well, I'm home now. No need to be so dramatic."
Wrong move.
Her face turned red, a fresh storm brewing.
Before she could explode, my father strolled in, calm as ever.
"What's all the noise about?" He glanced at my mother before speaking in his usual doting tone. "Baby, don't mind him."
Then—without missing a beat—he turned to me. "Go to your room. And don't talk to your mother like that."
I barely had time to smirk before my mom smacked him.
"Why'd you hit me?!"
"Even so."
I ignored them and headed upstairs.
Reaching my room, I tossed my jacket aside and collapsed onto the bed—then froze.
Mysophobia.
Sighing, I got up and went straight to the bathroom.
The warm water eased my tension, but my mind remained restless.
Not because of Josh.
Not because of my parents.
Because of her.
Fiona.
I whispered her name, the sound lingering in the empty room.

Fiona's POV
"AHHHH!"
I bolted upright, clutching my pounding head as a headache slammed into me like a freight train.
Flashes of last night crashed through my mind—blurry at first, then horrifyingly vivid.
No. No. No.
I kissed Adrian.
I kissed Adrian.
I. Kissed. Adrian.
"AHHHHHH!" I shrieked, burying my face in my hands. My heart was on the verge of self-destructing.
Not only did I kiss him—I started it! And it wasn't some innocent peck. No, the memory burned itself into my brain. His lips—hot, demanding, taking control until I could barely breathe.
I brushed my fingers over my lips, my stomach twisting.
"That was my first kiss…" I whispered, horror and something terrifyingly close to excitement battling inside me.
But then—
The realization sucker-punched me.
I TOLD HIM MY REAL NAME.
Panic hit me like a truck.
"What have I done?!" I groaned, gripping my hair.
Adrian was too sharp. He already looked suspicious last night. If he connected the dots… if he found out who I really was—
No. No time to freak out.
I had school. And I was already late.
I launched myself out of bed, sprinted through the fastest shower of my life, threw on my uniform, and flew down the stairs.
Just as I reached for the door—
"Fiona."
I froze.
