"Nolan, we can't go back."

"The old Xanthe would've cared about everything you felt, would've been sad for you."

"But now, you're just a stranger to me."

Cort stood tall, looking at me with adoration.

"Finished setting up the booth? I'm here to take you home, my mom made your favorite homemade delicacy."

As we left together, Nolan's whimper suddenly turned into a beast-like roar.

Nolan cried out like a madman, "Xanthe, I was wrong... I was really wrong..."

The dull thud of his forehead hitting the floor tiles attracted security,

He tentatively walked into the flower shop.

Seeing that I didn't stop him, he looked a bit excited.
