Emily's eyes were glued to her father's face, her mind reeling with shock and confusion. What was he doing here?

Her father's expression was calm, almost serene, but Emily could see the hint of tension in his eyes. He knew she was shocked, and he was waiting for her reaction.

"Emily," he said, his voice low and soothing. "I know this is a shock. But I'm here to explain."

Emily's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with questions. What could her father possibly say to explain his sudden appearance?

Her father hesitated, his eyes darting towards Victor Wright. "From the Wrights. They're not what they seem, Emily."

"Dad," Emily said, her voice firm. "I'm in. I'll help you bring them down."

Her father's expression turned serious, his eyes locking onto hers. "Emily, I don't know if you're ready for this. The Wrights will stop at nothing to keep their secrets safe."

Emily's eyes narrowed, her mind made up. "I'm ready, Dad. Let's do this."
