Chapter 18: Ambhitta
A massive explosion was heard from the other side of the underground location, from where we had arrived from.
I turned to the side to see Naido Sensei frowning, before he 'puffed'...this man sent a Shadow Clone with me?
I used the body flicker Jutsu to run back into the original room to see what was going on and what I saw shocked me.
A massive gaping hole could be seen, which led all the way into the surface. I could still feel a residual insane amount of Chakra inside of the air.
The entire room was filled with destruction and was rundown and I could see Sensei just casually staring at a woman that was standing at the top of the destruction.
"I am surprised. A Jounin level combatant was in another basement that even I didn't know about." Sensei said casually, not even caring that he made a mistake.
"I am not just a Jounin level combatant." The woman said as she raised her arm, and intense amounts of fire began to build right at the palm of her hand.
I instantly thought about Ninja technology from the Boruto anime far, far into the future.
Sensei just continued to smile at the massive amounts of Fire chakra that was building up in front of us.
"Ah, Shikomu." Sensei called out, without even turning to my side.
I turned to sensei, to see him and slightly behind him even the Anbu commander was right there.
I wasn't surprised, since he could probably cover this entire distance in an instant.
I was getting worried slightly, since the woman didn't stop and the massive amounts of fire chakra just increased slowly until the entire massive hole was filled with a massive attack.
"Let me show you how to 'dismantle' some Jutsu's." Sensei said with a smile.
Dismantling Jutsu?
"TAKE THIS!" The woman shouted as she released the massive Fire-ball, however as the fire-chakra moved towards us, Sensei just raised one of his hand.
"Don't worry," I heard the Anbu commander say as he walked into the room I had just come out from.
"I will go look at the blueprints that were left behind. Just watch your sensei's unique style of fighting. There aren't many that get such an opportunity." He voiced out as he walked into the room.
"Ambitha." Sensei voiced out, as light blue chakra was emitted from his hand, and waves of it slowly moved into the atmosphere.
As it did, the residual wind chakra slowly calmed down, and the chakra made contact with the Fire ball flying towards us, which also followed shortly.
As they both collided, there wasn't any explosion.
There wasn't a massive shockwave.
There was just…pure, raw Chakra being sent into the atmosphere.
As Sensei's chakra made contact with the Fire-ball, it seemed to slowly convert the fireballs chakra into normal chakra.
"What's going on?!" Shouted the woman.
However Sensei suddenly disappeared from his spot, appeared beside the woman and knocked her out by hitting her neck.
"Sensei, what was that?" I asked as he approached me.
"That's something only I can use in the world." He said with a slightly arrogant smirk on his face.
"Yes but I have never heard of someone being able to just…cancel a Jutsu."
Sensei nodded as he put her body onto the floor.
"That would make sense, since anyone who has heard of my style of fighting is either dead or someone who doesn't care enough to spread it." Sensei said casually.
I never really understood Naido sensei as an NPC. He was laid back sometimes yet strict some other times.
There never really was a time where I could tell how he would behave.
Now there's this new thing.
"Anyways Shikomu, this was an extremely casual first actual mission huh." He asked as an entire wall broke down revealing more weapons.
"Right…."
(Author's note: FOR ANYONE disappointed, I was just trying to make it slightly more realistic wherever I could. It doesn't make sense for a Genin to be fighting actively in an A-rankish mission. The next true proper mission, I will make sure the mc has 1 or 2 close fights. This was more to build plot)
…
It took roughly a week for me to return back to the village, and thus the entire mission was only 1 month long, leaving me 2 more months to the Chunin exams, and right now is time for me to collect my rewards.
Sensei gave the entire report to the Hokage and I just backed him up on most parts.
"Well then Shikomu." The Hokage called out to me.
"It seems like you have finished your first A-rank mission. Albeit this was not planned or at that difficulty level, the village will make sure to compensate you for it. Tell me, other than Ryo, what is it you desire?" He asked me.
As he did, I acted like I was thinking about it for a second before mentioning what I had been planning for a bit.
I tapped my chin, pretending to think it over before finally speaking.
"Hokage-sama, if possible, I would like access to the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju's notes on Water Style jutsu."
In my words, the Hokage's expression immediately shifted. His usual calm demeanor remained, but there was a flicker of something, concern, perhaps. He took a long drag from his pipe, exhaled, and then leaned forward slightly.
"That is too much to ask for Shikomi. Those notes contain techniques and research that fall under the highest level of national security. Even within the great clans, only a handful have ever had direct access to them. I cannot simply hand them over."
I expected as much, but it was still disappointing. I remained silent, waiting for him to continue.
"However," he went on, "given your contributions to the village during this mission, I am willing to make a compromise. You may select three jutsu from the archives—anything below the Forbidden rank."
I noticed Naido-sensei's lips curl into a small smirk as he crossed his arms. "That's more than generous," he remarked. "Take the deal, kid. These aren't some common scrolls; we're talking about jutsu crafted by one of the greatest shinobi in history."
I nodded, not needing any further persuasion. "I accept."
The Hokage smiled, seemingly satisfied with my decision. "Good. Speak with the librarian at the archive tomorrow morning, and he'll grant you access to select your jutsu. Choose wisely, Shikomu."
I bowed slightly. "Thank you, Hokage-sama."
[Congratulations as your mission was classified as an A-rank mission]
[The player has gained 500 EXP]
[The player has gained 1 EXP X 10 for killing 10 civilian players]
[The player has gained 10 EXP X 5 for killing 5 Genin Players]
{The system has provided the host 423 EXP for destroying a players 'vassal' village}
{The player has gained 1000 EXP in total. Congratulations}
Looking at the absurd amount of EXP I had just received, I couldn't help but be extremely happy.
Would be great to constantly gain these amounts of EXP.
…
I bowed to the Hokage and went to Ichiraku Ramen to see Naruto eating and explaining what happened in the Land of Waves to Iruka.
"And then, Sasuke threw this massive Shuriken, but I was under it the wh….SHIKOMU!" Naruto shouted as he quickly ran over to me.
Iruka seemed shocked as he saw Naruto talking to someone else.
"Hey Naruto." I greeted the whiskered boy.
He seemed genuinely happy to see me, which was something nice.
"Come, I was just telling Iruka sensei about my mission. I don't think you guys have met too."
It was that day I met Iruka for the first time.
…
Logging out, I could see the forums going crazy over the death of the Techno Queen.
Apparently, she was relatively well known in the real world.
The heiress of a branch of the Union, and the daughter of the head of an E-Sports guild.
She was publicly being condemned for failing when she was so far ahead but made no statement regarding it.
She now couldn't log in until the second year of in-game time.
Well that's one issue that's sorted for me.
I wonder how this whole guild thing is going to develop without their head.
Probably not going far unless the second in command takes charge.
Even then, for at least 9 more months in game time, I hopefully didn't have to worry about massive movements from the gun users.
…
It seems like destroying everything in sight is a very easy way to get stronger.
But that being said it's also a very easy way to get a target on my back.
It is not smart for me to go on a rampage without being an Elite Jounin at least, since outside of this village is a death sentence.
Well with Danzo here the inside isn't really safe too.
{System announcement: Special player, Techno-Queen has been killed. 1 of the 6 world chat spots have been destroyed}
It seems like the world chat was a permanent thing as well, which is a good thing. It gives much more advantages for early players.
Honestly I'm curious as to how the new players will impact the world.
They will probably be able to get C and B rank legacy jutsu, and the second batch might even get S rank ones as the world progresses.
But the later they log in, the less their advantages.
The second batch cannot become sages.
What if the 3rd batch has something restricting them from becoming a Jinchuriki?
That's a problem for them anyways.
