Birth Banquet begins

The palace was buzzing with activity. Servants rushed around, decorating every corner, chefs were hard at work in the kitchens, and the scent of exotic dishes filled the air. Today was my birth banquet, an event that somehow had the entire world talking.

Of course, I, Adrian, the star of the show, lay in my luxurious crib, seemingly unaware of all the preparations. My chubby little hands wiggled, my innocent crismson-gold eyes blinked curiously, and my face was the perfect picture of a clueless baby.

But in my mind?

I was already plotting.

("Alright, today is important. Major key figures are coming, including my aunts. Both of them were important support for the protagonist in the original novel… but this time?")

They would be my supporters.

("I'll make sure they dote on me so much they won't even spare a glance at that fool protagonist.")

As I schemed internally with a confident smirk, a familiar voice popped into my head.

> [System]: "Pfft! Look at you, acting all serious while lying in a crib! What a master strategist, huh?"

I ignored it.

> [System]: "Ohhh, Adrian, mighty transmigrator, future ruler of the world, right now struggling to keep his own thumb out of his mouth!"

I instinctively looked down—damn. My baby body had betrayed me, and I was indeed sucking my thumb. I quickly stopped and glared inwardly at the annoying system.

("Can you not?")

> [System]: "Nope! It's my job to keep you entertained. You should thank me. Imagine being an infant without my amazing company."

I sighed and rolled my eyes. There was no winning against this thing.

Before I could argue further, the sound of excited voices filled the hallways. My sharp baby ears picked up the voices of my aunts Sylvia Solis and Lilith Noctis.

"Seraphina!"

"Sera!"

The door to my nursery burst open, and in came two beautiful women.

Sylvia Solis, my uncle Alexander's wife, was a literal hyperactive ray of sunshine. She had golden-blonde hair, bright blue eyes, and a warm, cheerful presence that instantly lit up the room. She tackled my mother into a hug.

Right behind her was Lilith Noctis, my uncle Asmodeus' wife. She was her complete opposite—tall, elegant, with raven-black hair, deep crimson eyes, and an icy cold aura. She walked gracefully, her face expressionless as always.

"You're late!" My mother, Seraphina, pouted playfully at them.

Sylvia pulled back with a grin. "Come on, Sera, you know we had to look extra stunning today. It's our precious nephew's first big day!"

Lilith simply nodded, her cold voice like silk. "We were delayed."

Sylvia rolled her eyes. "That's just Lilith's way of saying she took three hours picking a dress."

Lilith narrowed her eyes. "I did not."

My father, Zephyrus, who had been standing nearby, chuckled. "I don't know… That black gown does look suspiciously well-thought-out for someone who 'didn't take time picking it'."

Lilith glared at him, and even my usually calm uncle Alexander was trying hard not to laugh.

Sylvia giggled before suddenly turning her gaze toward me.

And then—she froze.

Her bright blue eyes widened. Her mouth opened slightly, but no words came out.

Lilith, curious about her reaction, followed her gaze—and even her ever cold expression cracked .

Sylvia rushed over in an instant, nearly shoving my father aside. "Wait. Wait. Zephyrus, Sera, hold on—this is Adrian?!"

My father, looking proud, nodded. "Who else?"

Sylvia's jaw dropped. "HE'S SO BEAUTIFUL?!"

My mother smirked pridefully . "Of course he is."

Lilith, still staring at me, finally spoke. "His features… His bloodline has already started manifesting?"She said noticing the tiny barely noticeable horns on my head hidden by my hair and my slightly pointed ears.

Sylvia, still reeling, looked at my mother. "Sera, be honest, did you secretly steal a masterpiece doll and switch it with Adrian?"

My mother laughed ,. "Oh, shut up."

Sylvia, still dazed, leaned down toward me. "Adrian, sweetie, how? How are you so pretty? This isn't fair!"

("Heh. That's right, be amazed.")I thought happily in my mind , thinking everything was going according to my plan.

Of course, outwardly, I just blinked innocently, my small fingers curling slightly as if I had no idea what was going on.

Sylvia clutched her chest dramatically. "Oh no. I love him already. This is bad. I'm going to spoil him so much!"

Lilith, who had been examining me quietly, finally sighed. "I must agree. This child… is dangerously cute."

> [System]: "Bwahaha! Look at them, Adrian! You haven't even spoken a single word, and they're already wrapped around your tiny fingers!"

I smirked internally. Perfect.

As the conversation went on, my mother and father happily chatted with my aunts, sharing stories and updates. My uncle Alexander joined in, teasing his wife about how obsessed she already was with me as she was still gushing over me and playing peek a boo with me.

Meanwhile, I sat there, absorbing everything, trying to comprehend what was happening.

System: "This surely wasn't in our plan was it ?", it said seeing the almost obsessed expression on my aunt's face

"Yeah it wasn't, but I guess this is definitely still a succes right ?" I asked the system inwardly

The system simply nodded in approval using a emoji, still a bit disoriented.

("Step one of our plan is a success, I guess. The protagonist's future key supporter? She literally is obsessed with me seeing the way she has not stopped gushing over me since she has entered the room.")

My innocent baby face remained unchanged, but inside, I was happy that the plan had went well althought the result was different from what i had expected.

"Well , I guess I did too good of a job"I thought to myself shrugging my shoulders inwardly.
