Chapter 82

"Now that you're all healed up, dig up that Heat Absorbing Golden Pill and cultivate. Tomorrow I'll bring you a spirit stone, we'll be going out to the Nine Clouds Sovereign Sect"

"I understand"

With that said, Nine Clouds Purple Miasma disappeared, leaving his signature pink smoke behind.

Hou followed Nine Clouds Purple Miasma's orders and went outside. Firstly though he changed into his normal robe, made of a thicker material.

When he went outside he noted where the Heat Absorbing Golden Pill was buried with he stick in the ground, and walked over to it. 

Not having any tool, Hou used the stick and poked around to find the pill. He stabbed a few times until he hit something that wasn't soil.

Using the stick, Hou pried the Heat Absorbing Golden Pill out of the ground. The pill was muddy still so Hou looked around. 

He listened carefully and heard behind his house seemed to be running water!

Hou picked up the muddy pill and ran past his house, setting is eyes upon a small stream. It had clear running water with small round pebbles below.

Hou cleaned off the pill, and his hands, in the water to wash off the mud. Once he did so. He saw the real size and colour of the now finished Heat Absorbing Golden Pill.

It was palm sized and not gold like it was when it was small. Unlike, as the name implies being golden, the finished orb was actually red. Again it felt completely inert unlike when it was not finished and felt cold. 

Hou took the pill into his room and started to absorb it. He broke a piece of and placed it in his mouth. Instantly he could feel the laws releasing and his mouth was burning.

Hou swallowed the piece then started to meditate. He was absorbing the laws being released by the pills. It was much faster than passive law meditation.

Hou cultivated for the full day and finally saw a night start in his 'world' room. Everytime previous he had went to sleep early which caused night to occur. This time, however, he had been cultivating throughout the full day and saw night begin.

The light blue sky changed and became a midnight blue. There was no sunset or sunrise just night and day. In fact, there was no sun just sunlight. In between the states, was just a short minute gradual transition. 

Hou only had one more piece of the pill to digest and so he swallowed it and meditated. It took him an hour to fully digest and once he was down he could feel that his body cultivation when using a heat expression would be stronger.

He laid down in bed and fell asleep, tired from the constant meditation. He woke up the next day, refreshed perfectly.

Hou woke up and took off his robe, using a cloth with the water stream to wipe down his body. He then put back on his robe and sat down outside absorbing laws while waiting for Nine Clouds Purple Miasma.

Nine Clouds Purple Miasma appeared from the cloudy barrier surrounding Hou's plot of land with a box in his hands. 

"Good morning, I bring gifts for my disciple."

"Thank you, master Purple Miasma." Hou responded in kind.

"In this box, I have two things. One is a spirit stone, to compensate for your inability to grow until your body and soul are reunited. The other is a treasure, one that allows you to fly."

"I actually used to have a flying spirit I used, it's gone now though."

"How unfortunate, flying is required for any real cultivator. Luckily, though, I did bring this treasure to make up for that. But first take in this spirit stone, it already has laws of flight in it."

"Flight laws with a treasure? Why both."

"Simple reason. Flight laws by themselves cannot easily allow one to fly, especially with so little. At least not without using external cultivation which you cannot do and uses up the laws. Additionally, having these laws means that if you body cultivate with them while using the treasure, the laws should resonate and amplify eachother! It is the same principle as why it is easier for you to absorb the sun laws and associated laws, you already have a foundation."

"That makes sense! Thank you Master"

After the exchange, Nine Clouds Purple Miasma opened the box towards himself, then he picked up the spirit stone. 

It was a airy spirit stone, almost ethereal. When Nine Clouds Purple Miasma threw it to Hou, it gently glided over despite the force he used. 

Hou caught the stone and started to absorb it straight away. He could even feel that the sun and flight laws were interacting. 

"Are sun and flight laws connected somehow?"

"You might feel a slight connection... Think of it the sun shines down and the flight goes up. They aren't connected exactly, but at the same time they are. Everything has some kind of connection to another. The reason you can feel the laws interacting is because there is not multiple spirit stones. All three stones you have are now in your body and therefore can be counted as one being. The laws can all interact."

The two went silent while Hou focused on absorbing the spirit stone fully, getting used to the new feeling. 

"I am done" Hou informed Nine Clouds Purple Miasma.

"Very well, now I give you the treasure. This treasure's name is Cloudy Eagle Divine Wings. They are a set of wings which allows flight. I shall explain how treasures make use of laws a different time."

He took the wings out the box, he pulled them out and they were bigger than the box they were stored in. They were a set of white feathery wings with bronze framings. 

Hou caught them and threw them onto his back. The metal clawed into Hou's robes and stabbed into his skin. The treasure penetrated his body and became one with him.

The metal bronze framing expanded and latches onto Hou's spine. He could control them like his own body and he spread them out far, causing a gust of wind to blow.
