Chapter 6: Changsun Yue.
The closer Liu Yihan got the more Changsun Yue stepped backwards increasing the space between the two. He cringed in confusion as the girl approached him.
"Xu Wen, it's me Chen Yuqi,"Liu Yihan said.
"What Xu Wen? What Chen Yuqi?" Changsun Yue furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.
"You don't recognize me?"
"I don't know who you are,"Changsun Yue replied in contempt getting irritated.
Liu Yihan's eyes searched for any emotions on Changsun Yue's face but all she could see on display was sheer irritation. Earlier she was desperate to talk to him thinking he was also dragged into the novel like her but the guy showed no signs of recognizing her .
It was said in the novel that most disciples in the Jinyan Sect were gentlemen but Changsun Yue was different,he was cold, hostile, irritable a typical example of a red flag yet surprisingly loyal and protective of his beloved ones. Liu Yihan was disheartened realizing Changsun Yue wasn't Xu Wen,he just happened to resemble him. She was the only one stuck in the novel.
"Young Master,I was just joking,"she said masking her disappointment with a mysterious smile,"I am Liu Yihan from Xiuhua Sect. Nice to meet you,"She almost stretched out her hand for a handshake but remembered instantly that handshaking rarely existed in the ancient Chinese set up. She curtseyed slightly at him and flashed her signature seraphic smile.
Changsun Yue hated overly nice girls because he thought they were pretentious masking their evil intentions with those fake smiles.
"Changsun Yue here,"he said with a psychotic smile,"Now scram before I destroy that pretty face of yours,"he said widening his smile.
Liu Yihan stumbled backwards,Changsun Yue's psychotic smile sending chills down her spine.
"Miss Liu don't worry,Yue Shi Xiong likes to scare girls away,"Gong Ke said.
Oh yeah! Thinking back about it the original Liu Yihan was really scared of Changsun Yue for the first months after their encounter but Baili Ming always comforted her and promised to protect her from Changsun Yue.
"Don't worry I'm not afraid of Ah Yue here,"she said with a teasing smile. Now thinking about this Changsun Yue character, the author did describe him as someone who hated nicknames. Although in real life Liu Yihan was introverted she was secretly bratty and funny in some kind of way with the people she was interested in.
"Miss Liu, stay away. Yue Shi Xiong hates nicknames,"Gong Ke warned him and shortly after they heard the sound of a sword being unsheathed. Baili Ming stepped forward and stood between the two to shield the girl.
The blade of Changsun Yue's sword shimmered under the moon,the moon's light reflecting its shiny surface.
"Ah Yue I like it,"he said dragging the syllables of each word sexily ,his long slender fingers caressing the sword's blade.
"Changsun Yue,stop it,"Baili Ming said in an authoritative tone.
His sect brothers had lost count of the number of times Changsun Yue had scared girls off even whenever they went for casual patrols outside the sect,he always knew how to make girls shit their pants. It gave him a feeling of satisfaction seeing their expressions change from those shy and lustful smiles he hated to total fear. He loved the fearful looks on their faces.
"Shi Xiong,I didn't do anything. That Miss Liu was the one who approached me. It's clear she's interested in me,"Changsun Yue said with a smirk and tilted his head to get a view of Liu Yihan who was hiding behind Baili Ming.
"She was just being polite,"Baili Ming said in her defense.
Unlike the real Liu Yihan she wasn't going to act like some scaredy cat. She couldn't let Changsun Yue have his way with her and get the satisfaction he wanted. She boldly stepped forward to face the boy.
"You like scaring girls. I also like scaring boys,"Liu Yihan said confidently and smirked.
"Oh?"Changsun Yue questioned in ridicule.
" You hate nicknames, you're allergic to peanuts,you fear confined spaces,you fear flowers and you also fear needles,"Liu Yihan rambled confidently and paused intentionally to watch Changsun Yue's reaction.
Everyone's jaw dropped especially the boys who were shocked to the core because of how accurate Liu Yihan's words were. They were already familiar with Changsun Yue's peanut allergy.
There's nothing creepy like a stranger being too familiar with your weaknesses.
"Let's say I give you a bouquet of flowers for tonight how nice it will be,"Liu Yihan said with a creepy smile.
"How do you know?"Changsun Yue said still recovering from the shock but his face still remained expressionless,not easy to tell whether the words had affected him.
"How do I know?... Not telling,"She replied with a teasing smile.
''Good thing I read the novel,' she smirked at her thoughts. Then she suddenly remember she was straying from the real Liu Yihan's elegant character. She quickly composed herself and apologized for her behaviour but Changsun Yue couldn't wipe the feeling of curiosity tugging at him , wanting to find out how the hell Liu Yihan knew him so well.
"Young Master Baili,if you don't mind we'd like to take our leave,"she said politely getting back to character.
"Please go ahead ." With the commotion that had happened Baili Ming had nothing more to say. Liu Yihan led the girls out of the place.

"How do you know his phobias so we'll?"Yanliang Yao asked while walking back to the sect. Everyone was curious.
"I just guessed. People like him who like to boss others around like they own the world are always afraid of small insignificant things."
"Shi Jie you're amazing. You're such a good judge of character,"Yanliang Yao remarked and the others chimed in agreeing with her.
'I'm not a good judge of character I just happen to know the character too well.'
