Run Back To Your Prince Charming,To Your Fulfilled Life

Chapter Eleven -- Run back to your Prince Charming, to your fulfilled life.

Poppy walked out of the room, and Markovic watched as he did and felt a ball of anger curl in him, but he said nothing, because all in due time.

"Poppy." David smiled when he saw her, she frowned at the way he walked to her and pressed a kiss against her lip, she pushed him off as gently as she could. "What are you doing here, why are you introducing yourself as my husband?" She asked him and he frowned "We are practically married already, Poppy."

He leaned into kiss her again and she stepped aside "No, we are not married. What are you doing here? I am at work, David." "I just could not see you, you look really good." He grinned and she flinched, remembering Markovic's words.

You look really good today, Poppy.

"You cannot come to my work place and try to kiss me, you cannot call yourself my husband, you cannot act like this here. This is an FBI Facility, it is supposed to be a secret, but I told you because you are my fiance, and now, you are here? Do you know how borderline insane that is? You need to respect my boundaries, because if you don't respect me, I have no idea what we are doing. You won't see me come to your office and try to rain on your parade, will I? I am working here, I am a Criminal Psychologist, not an extension of David Grayson, you need to understand that." She snapped, at him, feeling all the anger threaten to explode in her.

"Hey, calm down, you are acting crazy." David frowned and she looked away. Crazy? Did he just call her crazy? Perhaps she should show him crazy.

"I'm sorry, I should not have showed up without texting you or something, I was close by, I grabbed a late lunch with my friends and decided to stop by and take you home. I'm sorry, Poppy." He whispered and she nodded, perhaps she had been acting crazy.

"I'm sorry for overreacting too, and thank you for picking me up. I am exhausted, I have had a long day and I just want to go home, take a bath and go to bed. You've had something to eat, right? We can order Thai food on the way home." She smiled and pressed a kiss to his cheeks, he placed his hand on her waist and frowned "Are you really tired? I was thinking we could stop by at the club and just hang out with my friends, then we leave later?"

She pulled away from him "Did you not just see your friends? I have had a long day, David, I don't want to spend more with your friends at the golf club." She whined and he grinned "I know it would be exhausting for you, which is why I asked mom to dinner, so you can spend time with mom, while I play golf with the boys."

"You have to be kidding me." She groaned and ran her hands through her hair, she has a blooming headache that started the moment she knew David was here. How oblivious could he be? The last thing she wanted to do was spend the rest of her day with his mother, his annoying mother. Lily Grayson was so freaking annoying and stupid, and Poppy had thought about ramming a shovel up her freaking eye, just to watch her die.

"I'm not spending the rest of my day with your mother. So, get in your car and drive to the golf club, I will drive myself home." She told him and he frowned at her.

Poppy realized she forgot her journal in the interview room, so she turned back and walked in there, she froze when she realized Markovic was still on the other side, he sat there and when she walked in, he looked at her.

"Back so soon?" He asked, and she gulped and gestured to her journal that was laying opened on the table and she frowned, because she remembered closing it. She walked closer and saw that on a blank page Love was written, in her handwritten, except she didn't remember writing it, she was going crazy.

"Problem?" Markovic questioned and she looked at him, how was she supposed to explain that something had been written in her handwriting, in her journal, on a blank page, except she didn't remember writing it. But, she knew if anyone could understand insanity, it would be Markovic Pierce.

"What did Hedonism have to do with murder?" She asked, standing and he glared "Your husband is waiting for you." "He can wait. Talk to me, Markovic." She urged and he looked at the wall.

"Hedonism talks about pleasure, Existentialism talks about finding individual meaning in life, Nihilism talks of no meaning, and Absurdism talks of the struggle to find meaning. These are all philosophical beliefs that deviates from the societal norms, but one major one that persists in my mind is Obsession." He explained, which only made her more confused.

"Obsession?" She frowned and he nodded.

"Kierkegaard believed obsession to be an existential despair, Heideggar claimed it was an inauthentic being, Satre - Obsession as bad faith, Lacan - Obsession as mirror stage fixation, Foucault -- Obsession as power dynamic. Is Obsession a choice or compulsion, Can obsession be rational or irrational, Is obsession morally justifiable?" He stared at her, into soul and she looked away from how intense his stare was, she found it difficult to understand all he said.

"You can just tell me, you can just tell me everything, Markovic, rather than sending me on a wild goose chase." She pointed out and looked at him.

"Where is the fun in that? Run back to your Prince Charming, to your fulfilled life." He taunted and she stared at the word she must have written, Love, was he capable of love?

"Are you capable of love, Pierce?" She asked and he looked at her "All in due time, Poppy."
