They're coming

The camera at the entrance to a house captures the grassy sidewalk, a dirt road, with a lamppost for light, and also that the house is protected by a small concrete wall.

Soon we hear the sound of a television, apparently broadcasting a soccer match.

However, the camera starts to experience interference, but it records the same creature as the previous recording.

It shows its torso with ribs showing, and metal parts coming out of the same place where its ribs are showing, and it has a hole in its chest, which the camera doesn't show in detail.

The screen goes black, but you can hear the sounds.

Suddenly there is the sound of an iron gate being knocked down, and also the barking of dogs.

Then you hear the voices of the people living in the house.

 - What was that? - shouted a man.

 - I don't know, it came from outside! - A woman shouted.

 - Then I'll see what it was this time. - Said the same man.

But then, after the sound of a door opening, the camera picks up the sound of him.

 - Aaaaaa!

Then the creature attacks, making a loud sound, as well as the sound of the man's agony.

The recording then cuts to another camera aimed at the house, and records a wooden house with the door open, no light and notices a movement inside and the sound of the woman's agony.

 - No! Please don't! Aaaaaa!

 The camera hisses.

 End of recording.

Back in the classroom, Lucas begins to think about the Mental Plan.

 "What happened?"

Then the same voice as before echoes again.

 - It's time for us to meet.

"First of all, who are you?"

 - Oh, so you don't remember me? Well, I think this will refresh your memory.

His mental plane shifts and turns into a wooden corridor, almost dark from the dim light of a lamp.

 "What is this place?"

As he walks down the corridor, he sees some things written in blood.

"Your fault? What do you mean?"

But he wasn't alone in the place, and a child's voice began to grow louder.

"It's suspicious, but there's nowhere else to go."

He continues on his way, but his peripheral vision notices something approaching.

 "Hmm."

He turns back and there's nothing.

 "Now it's weird."

He continues walking, until he comes back to the room before the Mental Plane, he looks around and sees nothing but darkness.

"Did I escape and not even realize it?"

A macabre laugh echoes behind him out of nowhere.

 He immediately turns around, startled.

 "What was that?"

He was startled again when he saw a different figure, its luminous eyes were similar to human eyes, its teeth were gleaming and its macabre smile was inches away from him.

 - This isn't my real form, this is just what your mind can remember of me, and the way I look, it's good for me, hehe.

 The creature then holds Lucas.

 - We're almost there....

The bell rings and he wakes up.

"Did I sleep that much? Damn, now I can't even study for the exam."

The teacher soon arrives, his white skin showing the marks of age, although he is not old, nor does he have gray hair yet, but he has an intimidating face to anyone who sees him, saying calmly.

 - Remember that the exam will be on Friday, if not, you will have to justify your absence, depending on the justification you can take another exam of the same content, but if you don't justify it or it's a lame excuse, there will be no crying or candlelight, does everyone understand?

He doesn't hear anything and then realizes that there's only Lucas in the room, so he sits down in his chair.

 - Well, let the five-minute grace period begin.

Seeing this, Lucas thinks as he picks up his school materials.

"But now I have to study, there's nothing to do now."

Two hours later, the teacher leaves as he goes.

 - Well, now study for the exam, see you on Friday.

Another two hours later, the other teacher leaves the room after picking up his things, and then the bell rings, it's the start of the rest period, so Lucas thinks quietly.

"Maybe now I'll get some rest."

But to his displeasure Ana comes up to him.

 - Hey Lucas, is everything all right?

 - Why wouldn't I be?

 - It's just that during the lesson you seemed to be afraid of something.

 He gets a little angry.

 - It just seemed that way, in reality everything is normal and why do you come out of the blue and ask me something like that? Huh?

 She's clearly embarrassed.

 - Nothing, I just wanted to see if a friend of mine was okay after acting more strangely than usual.

So she leaves the room, and outside Yuri is waiting by the front door.

 - You were right, something has happened to him.

 - Yes, but now the problem is to find out what it is, Julia might know.

 - Yes, I'm going to text her now.

But as she does so, she sees something passing by.

She's startled; the reason was a figure that appeared at the end of the corridor, watching her.

 "What was that?"

Yuri realizes her fright and asks her in confusion.

 - What's up, Ana?

Confused and frightened by what she saw, she comments.

 - Did you see something at the end of the corridor?

He looks there and sees nothing strange.

 - No, everything's normal for me.

 - Really? I saw someone standing at the end of the corridor looking at us.

 - Did you stay up all night playing again?

 - Yeah, I've been playing with my team to see the new map, but maybe I need a nap.

 - That's right.

 - I should have listened to Lucas when he left at almost eleven at night.

However, he was actually being watched by someone, who was smiling macabrely in a dark corner

 In the classroom.

 Lucas reflects quietly.

"If remembering the past is going to break their connection with me, then why didn't I do it before?"

Suddenly he hears Tel answer the question.

 - It was because of his shock.

 "What's it like?"

 - Before you arrested me you never listened to me, the memory of that day tormented you so much that you were on the verge of going mad.

"And how did I avoid that?"

 - You purposely locked your memories of that day somewhere in your mind and created the locks that prevent you from remembering it now.

"So, does that mean that if I remember that day I could end up like before?"

 - It's a possibility.

Lucas is reluctant to face this situation.

"And why haven't you told me about it until now?"

 - Maybe you wouldn't agree to do it.

"Maybe not, but now that I'm up to my neck in it, are there any other side effects?"

 - Indeed there are.

 "Is there? What?"

 - The closer you get to breaking that bond with them, the more desperate they'll be to catch you.

 "Nice timing on that."

But just as Tel was about to reply, the bell rang - it was the end of the break.

A little frustrated at having been put in a delicate situation, he reflects as he watches the others enter the room.

"But it's either that or there's a risk that I wouldn't even know about, now, if I run, I'll be caught and if I stay, I'll be eaten."

After a few more hours, the bell rings again, and on his way out, Lucas is talking to Julia, after saying goodbye to Ana and Yuri.

 - Have you talked to Yuri about the rematch?

 - He told you, didn't he?

 - Of course, and he told me before I went to talk to you.

 - E?

 - You're going to want to massacre us this time, aren't you?

 - You bet, I'm going to start specific training to ensure that.

 - Then I'll have to do it too.

Meanwhile, close to home, a street and sidewalk have been closed due to work on the sewage system under the street.

 - Will we be without water for hours again? - Julia asks him, a little annoyed.

 - I hope not, it'll just be another pothole in the street.

 - Then let's go there," says Julia, pointing to the left.

 - And then fold it, okay?

 - Okay.

But as he takes the alternative route, he ends up passing in front of an Emergency Care Unit.

There he is startled to see a child with burns all over his body, with no eyes, staring at him.

 - What is it, Lucas?

 - It's nothing - Lucas says when he realizes it was just a hallucination.

Then she looks away from where he had been looking and freaks out, and realizes that it's only the UPA.

"Maybe he remembered that day again."

Continuing to walk, Lucas reflects on what he has just seen.

"These hallucinations are getting more realistic every day, in a little while I won't even be able to tell reality from hallucination, that's why I should end this connection as soon as possible, so they stop bothering me."

Arriving home, they see their father also arriving with two bags, and opening the gate, he says to them.

 - Your mother won't be having lunch now, and since I forgot to defrost the chicken, I bought some lunch boxes.

As he opens them, he continues.

 - Help me set the table for lunch.

 - Okay, what's on the menu this time? - Julia asks.

 - Look, I don't know, but if you don't eat what's here, you won't have lunch.

Just like that, when they'd finished setting the table.

 - It's fried meat, rice and a tomato salad. - Their father says as he opens the lid of the lunch box.

 That's how they start eating.

 - But why did you leave work early today anyway? - Lucas asks.

 - It's just that someone released a pathogen in my laboratory and everyone who didn't have any of the pathogens was released, and I was one of them.

 - And what's the project like? - Julia asks.

 - I can't say, my company made me sign a confidentiality agreement about this project.

 Then Lucas asks him again.

 - How much will you earn when you finish the project?

 - A couple of thousand more than I already earn.

 - What's that?

 - Look, a biotechnician like me, about four thousand, why? What are you trying to invent this time?

 - Nothing.

 But think.

"Then I'll ask him to buy him a present, since the anniversary of his death is coming up."

 Meanwhile.

Emily is at the police station, together with Eduardo in the Deputy's office, talking to him.

 - Sir, so, officer, that night we could see a creature in that house, that thing was big. - Emily says.

 - Also, after spending all morning asking local residents if they saw anything suspicious passing by this morning, we only got a USB stick from a camera in a nearby house. - Eduardo comments.

 - But have you seen the footage?

 - No, we haven't had time to do that yet. - Emily replies.

 - So let's see what's on that piece of junk, shall we?

 - Okay.

 - If you don't find good evidence, the case won't last long.

 - Let's hope this USB stick is useful for the investigation.

He then went to his computer to open the files of the recordings captured by the camera.

That way, when he checked the recording.

 "What the hell?"

The recording shows a normal backyard, until a large hideous creature appears.

 - What is that thing?

 - Is that what was in that house?

 - No, I know that damn camera is blurring the rest of the creature's body.

However, using a headset to listen accurately to the recording, they hear the audio captured by the camera.

 - Home, home, home.

 Confused, she asks herself.

 - Home? What house?

 - Maybe this thing is going to a specific place.

 - But the question is, what place is it?
