Prologue - Chapter 1 - The System Greets Me

The morning starts with a yawn from a young boy who is currently laying on the city streets. He called himself Varian, Varian has been an orphan ever since he was a kid. He lives by supporting himself by gathering rubbish especially plastic bottles to sell at the recycle store. He has a skinny body and a really long black hair that he hadn't cut for years due to his low budget.

"How many will I get today..." Varian murmured to himself, not knowing what will happen to him. Varian gets up and starts working as usual, he is a hardworking person who will do anything to survive on his own. But like the other humans, he also needs to rest and put his mind at ease. The time passed quickly as he continued to gather some more plastic bottles at the park near the lake. As he bent down to collect the last plastic bottle, he turned his head and saw the beautiful scenery of sunset.

"When will I get the chance to enjoy the scenery if not in a place like this?" Varian chuckled. His mind has been thinking about how his life will be if his parents were still alive. Without realizing anything, a tear streamed down his cheek and stopped at his lips. "Don't cry, you brat!" Varian slapped his face gently.

After some time later, he decided to go back to the city to sell all of his plastic bottles and rubbish and go to the store to buy a bowl of ramen and a bottle of water. After he got some money, he was on his way to the convenience store, but his eyes got distracted by something else. He saw a group of men and women walking on an unknown path in the corner of the city that he had never seen before. They were wearing a white hoodie that covered their faces, Varian had a bad feeling about them. He then asked a bunch of people about that group, but everyone thinks that Varian is a crazy person because they couldn't see the group he's talking about.

Varian then realized that he was the only person who could see them. Without any thought, he followed them from behind. His thoughts about eating a bowl of ramen were completely vanished. About 55 minutes later, the group stopped at the edge of the village and didn't make a single move as if they were a statue.

Varian felt extremely strange about this situation, he then lifted his face to see what they were facing. Turns out it was a massive cave in front of them. Varian's mind was completely filled with fear, but he had to know the reason why he was the only one who could see them earlier. Varian's eyes filled with determination as he entered the cave, the cave was getting darker by each second.

Varian continued to walk for about 20 minutes, after he got a little bit tired. He stopped at some mystery-shaped rock to take a rest, but suddenly he saw the end of the path inside the cave. Varian hurriedly went to the place, his eyes were widened in shock after seeing a giant tree in the middle of the area.

"What is this logic? How could there be a tree in this massive cave?" Varian asked himself. No matter how many times Varian took a look at the tree, his mind came to a lot of conclusions. He then goes closer to the giant tree to examine it a little bit closer, he was shocked to see a hole that would fit his body on the tree. The hole was surprisingly perfect, as if it was made for his body to enter.

"I've seen a lot of weird things...but this...?" He clenched his fist, his mind came to the conclusion that he is indeed insane, but his heart denies it. Varian then decided to enter the hole on that tree. "Why is it so dark here?" Varian asked himself. The path in the hole is really long, as if it was never in the tree.

After walking for about 5 minutes, he suddenly heard a monster roaring. The sound was so terrifying that it sent a jolt of shock through his spine. After a few seconds, the roaring vanished. But the sounds of giant footsteps are coming as if they were behind him, chasing him as if he is the only food left in this universe. Varian ran as fast as he could towards the path in the hole, and with relief he saw a glowing light at the end of the path.

Varian starts thinking that he was going to win this race against an unknown species. But unfortunately, the footsteps are getting faster and closer. Varian's heart was pounding very hard from the running, and he was already tired of it. At the last moment he knew he couldn't get away with it at the last second, so he used his brain to slide at the end.

With that, he's getting closer to the glowing light and sliding at the last second. His luck was on his side this time when the hole to the other side he just went through got buried by a giant rock. Varian took a deep breath and is currently trying to calm his pounding heart.

After a moment, he shook his head and took a glance at his surroundings. It was night time in a whole different world where there was no modern furniture or gadgets, as if it was a Jurassic world back then when the dinosaur was still alive.

"Where the hell am I?!" Varian said as he scratched his long black hair. His eyes were widened in shock seeing the beautiful scenery that was never meant in his world.

Suddenly, a message-like system appeared before his eyes. Varian said, "No way this world is..." but his words are stuck between his throat. The system is now displaying his stats or whatever he called it.
