Duel on the Battlefield

The night was dark, but the battlefield burned.

The royal tents were in flames.

Soldiers screamed in confusion.

Horses galloped out of control.

CLANG!

Sparks flew as swords clashed.

Reed struck first—swift, wild, deadly.

But Aldric?

He wasn't like Seric.

He wasn't a knight raised under the system's protection.

He was a warrior forged by war.

He defended. Parried. Struck back with brute force.

Reed stepped back.

Took a breath.

Then smiled.

"Interesting."

Amidst the chaos, two figures collided.

Reed.

Sir Aldric, B-Rank Hero.

No words.

Only swords, blood, and killing intent.

Aldric didn't answer Reed's taunt.

He just attacked.

A left slash—Reed tilted away.

A quick stab to the stomach—Reed parried with his dagger.

But as he leaped back—

Aldric stepped in faster.

PUCK!

A steel fist slammed into Reed's stomach.

He staggered.

Blood dripped from his lips.

He grinned. "That hurts."

Aldric's gaze was cold. "You think this is a game?"

Reed spat blood.

"No." His eyes flashed. "This is hunting."

Reed stopped fighting like a warrior.

He fought like himself.

He played dirty.

As Aldric swung his sword—

Reed threw sand into his eyes.

A split second.

That was all he needed.

CLATCH!

A kick to the side of the knee.

Aldric collapsed.

Before he could rise—

Shia emerged from the shadows.

Twin daggers plunged into Aldric's back.

The B-Rank Hero gasped.

Mouth open. No sound.

Blood poured.

Shia whispered in his ear.

"You shouldn't have come alone."

She twisted the blade.

And Sir Aldric, B-Rank Hero, fell forever.

The system vibrated.

[B-Rank Hero – Sir Aldric Has Died!]

[Effect: Royal Army Morale Drops]

Reed looked at the bodies.

Two Heroes down.

One left.

A-Rank Hero.

And after that?

The King.

Reed grinned.

This war was almost over.

Only one more massacre left.
