Sleeping Happily

Ji Aier accompanied Ji Minze to read books and finally fell asleep on the sofa. Maybe she had been in a highly nervous state these past few days and hadn't had a good sleep, so now that she relaxed, she easily fell asleep.

Ji Minze was smart enough not to wake up his mommy. Instead, he gently opened the door and went to the study to find his daddy.

"Mommy fell asleep on the sofa," Ji Minze said to Ji En.

"Thank you, my dear son, for telling me," Ji En smiled and stroked Ji Minze's head.

"I think Daddy probably wants Mommy to sleep with you. Otherwise, I don't mind if Mommy sleeps with me," Ji Minze said with an "I don't care" expression.

"You're such a clever little guy," Ji En looked at his son and thought that sometimes his son was more mature than his age. He often surprised people when he spoke up.

Ji Minze smiled. If he hadn't seen that his mommy was always cold towards his daddy, he wouldn't care about the affairs of the adults.

Ji En gently picked up Ji Aier, left his son's room, and mouthed a silent "good night" to his son.

Back in his bedroom, he gently placed Ji Aier on the bed and covered her with the quilt. He gently stroked her face. Her face, without any makeup, was as tender as a baby's. Although she was already the mother of a nine-year-old child, she still looked so young. And such a delicate and young her had already experienced so many vicissitudes of life.

He had severed ties with his mother because of her. His mother, who was renowned worldwide and had the reputation of the "Queen of the Piano," could never understand the hardships that such an ordinary her had endured. So his mother thought that money could send her away and that her child could be born to her with anyone, except that it was impossible for the child to have the Ji family's bloodline. His mother's self-righteousness and arrogance had caused a tragedy and forcefully separated them, who were in love.

Ji Aier turned over and continued to sleep. She seemed to be having a sweet dream, so a faint smile appeared on her face.

He had planned to ask her about her new job tonight, but she fell asleep so early. He could only find out about it tomorrow. Ji En lay down beside Ji Aier and hugged her from the side. This was the first time in a long time that he could hold her so quietly, and she didn't resist at all. She was just quietly held in his arms like this.

Ji Aier kept smiling in her dream. She dreamed of her life before the orphanage, of the days when she skipped school with Ji En, and of the times when she took Ji Minze and Ji Qianhe to the amusement park. Just like in the book "I'm Waiting for You in Another World," she experienced the past events again, but in her dream, it was in chronological order, while the book described them in a flashback manner.

Ji Aier turned over and nestled into Ji En's arms, as if that was the warmest place, and then continued to sleep contentedly. Ji En looked at Ji Aier, who was sleeping like a little dog in his arms, and a feeling of happiness welled up in his heart.
