No Shortcuts

The next morning, a well-suited man walks through the long hallway of a hospital he is greeted by men who escort him towards the emergency ward there he sees his men on the bed, wounded by the altercation they had with Kaito last night that one of them was so heavily wounded that he had bandages all over his face "Who did this ??" Asked the man the goon stalled and replied in fear, "We don't know, boss it happened so quickly I was lucky I went to take a leak when this happened, or else I would be with them" The boss man looked at him with disappointment then he looks at other guys and noticed that only one of them was heavily wounded others were just unconscious "why him???" the boss asked the goon at first didn't understand the question but upon looking at his crew he replies "I.. . I…don't know six. Maybe he had a grudge with him" the goon replied the boss then looks at his watch and says "I don't want people to think that someone is hitting on my men this will make me look weak" he then calls his most trusted men, then he orders the goon "take shortcut with you get as many as people you want and find that bustard" he then walks away from the room on his way out he says "I want his dead !!!! Or there will you whose head will be on a pike"

Later that day, Kaito enters the night club he looks around and sees no one he walks towards the counter and calls for Samuel "Samuel…you here" he shouts, waiting for a reply "In the back", Samuel shouts back Kaito follows the voice and went to the back of the bar where he sees him arranging some boxes and barrels of liquid around "wait…let me" Kaito helped Samuel with the boxes "thanks, man." The booth arranged the boxes after the job was done, and they sat down at a table out of curiosity. Samuel asked, "Did you find a job yet?" Kaito sadly replied, "No…not yet" Samuel, concerned, asked him about his daughter, and Kaito replied joyfully "She's at his neighbor's" This, however, concerned Samuel a bit, but Kaito comforted him, saying, "she's fine the neighbors are good people, and she made a few new friends there she is good Judge of character so it's fine" as they talk more Samuel asked Kaito "about that job why don't you work with me here at the bar we'll of course until you find one" Kaito didn't want to be a burden on Samuel, but despite the circumstances, he agreed they cheer beer on that and goes of the storage room outside they saw shortcut and his men already drinking on a table waiting on them Samuel quickly hide Kaito behind him "shortcut….what are you doing here?" Samuel asked, "Is this a way to tear a customer Samuel huh?" shortcut replied he got up and walk3d towards the booth "Well, I was thinking of making small talk, but since you are not the kind one, I cut the chase…. some asshole, beat up on our people just outside of this club and now my boss wants his head. So, tell us what you know?" he asked menacingly "I know nothing", Samuel replied "Is that right?" Shortcut replied then his eyes met with Kaito's eyes at first sight, he made him he was sure that Kaito was the one who beat them all up "and what about you…you seen something…btw who are you never seen your hare before" shortcut asked but before Kaito found say anything Samuel replied "he works here…if you what that mean" Samuel replies short smiled at his face and replied "of course I know…to be honest that the only thing that's keeping you alive after the tone you used on me…but know this…Sergio isn't going to be here forever, and when he's gone, I'll be the frost to silt your throat you better believe it," Shortcut replies, trying to threaten Samuel, but an unfazed Samuel stands his ground and replies, "Yeah.. . well get in line…and if you are done, I would like you to leave" shortcut them smirks a little and leave the club but before going out of the club he turns back and says "I'll see you soon" as the group walks out towards their car one of the goons asked shortcut "did Samuel did that?" shortcut stops and looks at him "what? That old fuck…no way it's the skinny guy, he did it" Everyone looks at him in complete shock "How can you be so sure…" one of the goons asked "his eye….it's like looking into a mirror, I can tell you he's a trained killer, your boys are lucky they are still breathing" the goons are even more worried then before but shortcut ….he was impressed as if he has finally found his match someone he can throw hands with "so what the play here…..we surely can't hit Sergio's owned property, and we defiantly can't fuck with his employee" shortcut thinks a bit and replies "you said you went to his house right?? Go back there and keep a look out when he comes home call us we hit his place at night, no witnesses, got it ?" shortcut explains his idea while getting in the car with others "ok…..ok…" the goon replied he left for Kaito's house to keep a lookout, back in the club Samuel takes a deep breath and sat down on a chair he rubs his face trying to wipe off the tension of the moment with his head down he says "he's onto you kid, what's your play??" kaito trying to play dumb replies "what do you mean?" Samuel got up and shouted at Kaito, "Give up the act, kid!!! I know who you are, what you can do, what you did " This worries Kaito, but he continues to play dumb and avoid eye contact "I don't know what you are talking about….those guys made a mistake, so do you" frustrated Samuel pulls up a hidden knife from his pocket and throws a Kaito's head but before it hits kaito catches the knife without even looking, impressed Samuel says "sorry you were saying something??" Kaito was now busted, his face suddenly changed to seriousness "All right!!! You got me! Yes, I beat them up!! And if they try to mess with my daughter again, ill fucking kills them, and if you want to protect them, I'll kill you too!!" Samuel stood up and replied furiously, "Protect them !!! Oh, give me a break !! No one else in this town wants them dead more than me!" Kaito replied, "Oh yeah? Why?" kaito asked, holding the knife at him "Let's just say it's a bit personal thing", Samuel, with a cold look, replied, "Trust me, kid, if. I want you dead you already be I am on your side here I might the only one in this town let's talk" he raises his hand to take the knife Kaito still on guard decides to trust him he gives him the knife and sat down on a chair he smashes his hand on the side table "shit!!! I should have left when I had the chance …. I got her involved in this too" Samuel picks up a bottle of liquor and pours him and Kaito a drink "There is no time to feel sorry for your action. What do we do now?" Samuel asked Kaito, worried rums his face and replies, "I don't know…ok, they sure aren't going to leave me alone, maybe I have to hit them before they hit me, but first, I have to clean my name from this crap", "and how exactly you are going to do that??" Samuel asked, "I…. I have a plan for that. You said you wanted to help; now is your time." Kaito replied without explaining much about his plan. Out of curiosity, Samuel asked, "What about a shortcut?" Kaito looked at him and said, "As I said…I have to hit him before he hits me. Is there a particular place he hangs out?" Samuel thinks a bit and replies, "There is one place…but that is a dangerous place I wouldn't recommend you to go there" Kaito looks at Samuel and replies, "You don't need to worry about that tonight I end this" Samuel then picks his glass "well then cheers on that?" kaito smiles.

Later, at an old laundry store

"There is an old laundry store that was closed long ago when the owner passed away later, it went back to a hangout stop of hobos and homeless, but not for long as some gangsters think it was a great place to set up a cook site shortcut always pays a visit there for looking if the operation is going smooth or not he will be there but know this that place will be swarming with guys with guns you better be careful" these words from Samuel runs through Kaito's mind as he sneaks in his way in the laundry store. At the main room of the laundry store shortcut calls in his guy at Kaito's house "he's there?" Shortcut asked, the guy on the other side of the phone said, "Yes sir…sleeping in his bed" Looking through some binoculars at Kaito's bed, think Kaito was sleeping a little less than he knew that Kaito left the house hours ago and at the moment he is keeping an eye at Samuel who switched place when he was looking. "All right…it's time we are coming" " Shortcut says, but before he can call out his men for action, the lights of the store go out. "What the hell is going on?" "Where the light at, man! I can't see shit" the entire store is filled with such voices of workers as all of them were roaming around in the dark completely clue less that Kaito is taking them out one by one. "he's here…" shortcut whispers to himself as he figures out that Kaito has found them right on cue a workers founds out the body of another worker as pain starts to roll them up shortcut walks through the dark without fear and power ups the backup generator which Kaito already sabotaged result in generators with so little fuel that it made lights flicker, "there he is !!!" , "get him" the workers shouts as they spit masked Kaito they tries to jump at him but they were no match for him Kaito easily handled them once Kaito cleaned the entire store he looks around but couldn't find shortcut anywhere "looking for something" shortcut says from a balcony above him he provokes Kaito into following him to the roof where he prepped a trap form him as the Kaito open s the door to the roof shortcut sneaks on behind and cut a small part of Kaito's shoulder "oh you are faster then I though, that cut was meant for your neck….Anyway let's fix that" shortcut and Kaito moves around I circles as Kaito tends to his wound and fix his gloves and shortcut wipes the blood from his knife, "it's been a while since I fought someone I am going to savor this….I am going to make you suffer before I kill you with very short cuts…." They both lunge at each other, and the fight begins, which soon turns into a brutal brawl both men are doing their best to defeat one and another but can end the fight sooner they both are now wounded and tired, seeing the opportunity shortcut makes his final move "you are good…..but you die now!!!" but that was Kaito's trick which he fell right in, "you talk too much" Kaito counters his attack and land a few good combos of punches at him ad shortcut wobbles back and stops at the edge of the building Kaito calls him out "after you ill go for your boss" and with that Kaito lands a might kick at shortcut send him flying on the ground killing him instantly, after the fight a weak and wounded Kaito wobbles his way back to his car, before leaving Kaito sets the store on fire as he enters his car the entire store exploded as Kaito looks cold at the busting building his phone rang "hello…Kaito?" Samuel from the other side asked "Yeah, "Kaito replied weakly, "Oh, you are alive …thank God …. Anyway, I heard an explosion. What happened? How did it go?" Samuel conceded, "Fine…. just fine…how angel?" he asked "Sleeping", Samuel replied, "All right, I better come back before she wakes up. How our little I witness?" Kaito asked about the men keeping an eye on his house "Ah, he's long gone, probably when he first heard the explosion," Samples replied, assuring Kaito "All right…. coming back" Kaito drove off, leaving the burning building. The next day, at Kaito's house

"So, you sure your plan worked?" Samuel asked "Of course…now that gangster you mention has bigger problems to Handel rather than finding some guy who beat up his men….there were no survivors to tell him about the vigilante, so he'll think it was an accident pulse I got an eye witness that will say I was in my house all night thanks to you so yeah I am all good now" Kaito replied confidently "shit…when you say it like that I believe it worked this time" Samuel replies as they both celebrate their little victory they heard angel shout put for Kaito from the other room, Kaito and Samuel rushed to the other room complicated freaked out and worried "what happen!?" Kaito asked "Look at the T.V." She pointed at the T.V. as what they saw shocked them completely "As you can see, there is a masked vigilante fighting those criminals and then blowing the entire place up its like the voice of the people have finally heard many people and different views about this masked vigilante, but most of them call him a hero, this video is shot by one of our journalists who was present at the moment of this event planning on doing a sting but end up getting these shots….." as the news anchor says all that and his video running on the screen Kaito was so shocked to say anything except one thing "oh…shit…"
