The Shadow in the Night

Lian Zheng's eyes scanned the contents of the folder, his mind racing with the implications. Olivia had given him evidence of a massive embezzlement scheme within Golden Dragon Enterprises, one that threatened to bring the entire company crashing down.

He looked up at Olivia, his eyes narrowing. "Who is behind this?"

Olivia's smile grew wider. "That's the best part," she said. "It's someone you trust. Someone who has been playing you from the very beginning."

Lian Zheng's instincts went on high alert. He knew that Olivia was trying to manipulate him, but he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.

Suddenly, the lights in the lounge flickered and went out. Lian Zheng's eyes adjusted to the darkness, and he saw a figure emerging from the shadows.

The figure was tall and imposing, its features obscured by a ski mask. Lian Zheng's instincts screamed at him to run, but he stood frozen in place.

"Who are you?" he demanded, his voice firm and commanding.

The figure didn't respond. Instead, it lunged at Lian Zheng, a knife glinting in its hand.

Lian Zheng reacted instinctively, his body moving swiftly to avoid the attack. He counterattacked, his fists flying as he fought for his life.

The two of them clashed in the darkness, their movements swift and deadly. Lian Zheng's training kicked in, and he fought with everything he had.

But his opponent was no ordinary thug. It was a skilled fighter, one who had been trained to kill.

Lian Zheng's eyes narrowed as he realized that he was in grave danger. He fought back with every ounce of strength he had, but he knew that he was no match for this opponent.

Just as all hope seemed lost, the lights flickered back on. Lian Zheng's eyes adjusted slowly, and he saw Olivia standing in front of him, a gun trained on the figure.

"Let him go," she said, her voice firm and commanding.

The figure hesitated for a moment before dropping the knife and backing away. Lian Zheng watched as it disappeared into the night, his heart still racing with fear.

Olivia turned to him, her eyes glinting with amusement. "You're welcome," she said. "But next time, be more careful. The shadows are full of danger."

Lian Zheng's eyes narrowed. "What do you want from me?" he demanded.

Olivia's smile grew wider. "I want to help you," she said. "I want to help you take down the people who are trying to destroy Golden Dragon Enterprises. Together, we can achieve great things."

Lian Zheng's instincts screamed at him to be cautious. He didn't know who Olivia was, or what her true motives were. But he knew that he had no choice.

He nodded, his eyes locked on Olivia's. "Let's do it," he said. "Let's take them down.
