Lian Zheng stood tall as he faced the board of directors. He knew that he was taking a risk, that he was walking into a trap.
But he also knew that he had no choice. He had to confront them, to try and negotiate a deal.
"Gentlemen," he said, his voice firm and commanding. "I know what you're planning. I know that you want to take over Golden Dragon Enterprises for yourselves."
The board of directors looked at each other nervously, their faces pale with fear. Lian Zheng's instincts screamed at him to attack, to take advantage of their weakness.
But he restrained himself, knowing that he had to play it cool. He had to negotiate with them, to try and find a way out of this situation.
"We're not trying to take over the company," one of the directors said, his voice shaking with fear. "We just want to...ah...reform the company. Make it more efficient."
Lian Zheng's eyes narrowed. He knew that they were lying, that they were trying to deceive him.
"I don't believe you," he said, his voice firm and commanding. "I know that you're trying to betray me. But I'm not going to let you. I'm going to take back control of this company, no matter what it takes."
