CHAPTER TWO

On the plane detective Lucas had to make sure no one had a good look at his face, "Hey you look familiar," said the person sitting next to him. "Well I have no idea of who you are talking about," the detective said. "Never mind," responded the person sitting next to him. "Hey Luke!" one passenger shouted. "Shit," he thought, "I've been spotted, maybe I can just clear things up with that guy," as he turned to where the person was sitting he noticed he was talking to someone else.

"I should be able to sleep through everything and maybe just maybe…", his thoughts were cut short the moment he felt his phone vibrating in his pocket. While he was reminiscing old times he noticed a man signaling an air hostess in sign language, "Its time," What could that mean? he then remembered that there was a package labeled Trinitrotolueno which was obviously code for TNT.

The detective quickly alerted another air hostess about the bomb, she asked if his name was Lucas, the airline made all the members of staff see his face, and remember it. "There's no time for that! can't you hear me saying there's a bomb on this plane!" "Sir, you will have to come with me," the air hostess said in an annoyed tone.

"Well it's now or never", detective Lucas said briefly before running into the first class section of the plane, grabbing a HUGE blanket, opening the emergency escape and jumping out of the plane, he fell for about a minute before he heard a thunderous boom. "Well that was close," he thought. He immediately used the blanket as some sort of parachute. It was difficult for the him to maneuver it but at the end he was lucky enough to land on an island.

"Being on this island should give me some time to think of my next move," he said. "Well that was strange, it's not every day you jump out of a plane right before it explodes," he said jovially. He heard a sound from the bushes, "Who's there!," he demanded, but there was no response. He didn't feel comfortable after that incident, usually, one would believe it to be an animal in the bushes, but he was sure it was a human.

"Rather odd," he thought. He went into the forest to get fire wood and other necessities, by nightfall the detective had made a tent, roasted some fish and was already brainstorming on ways to get off the island. "I wonder who would put a bomb on a plane," he thought.

He couldn't sleep, he just couldn't rest before knowing he was in the clear. "I can't think properly, I have to go outside." He then climbed a tree, "This fresh air is what really changes it all." "O my," he whispered, "It's those noises from the exact same bushes as before," this time he didn't just hear noises coming from the bushes, he saw a dark figure come out of it to. "I have to take a closer look at that thing," the detective thought.

He jumped from tree to tree but his last jump made a lot of noise. The dark figure moved close to him. He had to think fast because if he didn't he may just loose his life. The figure came closer and closer but there was something he noticed about it, as it drew nearer he saw that the dark figure wasn't human but rather a humanoid. It didn't have a face or wear any clothes, it was just like a person wearing a shadow over their whole body.

He was lucky enough to find a loose branch. He immediately threw it far away, it took the attention of the dark figure and it moved to that location. "I can't think straight under these conditions," he said. He had no choice, he had to climb deeper into the tree so that the leaves would conceal him and the dark figure won't see him.

"What have I gotten myself into? what sort of creature was that? how would I get off this island,? I feel like I'm being watched where ever I go!" he screamed. "Screaming won't change anything, I have to reason." Detective Lucas didn't know what to do, how could he possibly escape this island in the time he had and what if he spent to long on the it? that humanoid might just get him.

He had a look at the sky, "Feeling this amount of humidity, the movement of the clouds and the temperatures sudden decrease, it is easy to say that a storm is coming." With this information the detective had a crazy idea, he thought that if he could somehow manipulate the winds movement then he should be able to get off the island. "Gathering all this wood is crazy work but if I somehow do it all before the storm is over then I should be able to get to a more habitable area." "Seems the storm is starting, I better go and get more supplies."

"No, how could this be possible? this doesn't make any sense, how could a whole island be turning to ash!" he was horrified, suddenly he felt something holding his shoulder, he turned around but saw nothing. He heard someone calling his name but when he answered he just heard a scrambled noise, over and over he heard the same noise, then he saw something on the floor, it was a weird symbol, he picked it up and put it in his pocket. He saw the island disappearing right before his eyes and it took every living thing with it, he immediately ran over to his boat and he was of like lightning.

The rough winds were hard to maneuver but he tamed it and after about four hours he saw a huge storm cloud but there was one big problem, the cloud was in the middle of the ocean. The detective had to go around the cloud. The boat he made basically came undone but he managed to reach dry land.
