Roselyn's POV
If you were me, what action would you have taken? When, against all odds, a student you teach, and who you're six years older than declares his love for you?
Choosing to ignore his confession and focus on my upcoming wedding to Raymond—my five-year lover and fiancé—was the decision I made.
I had no idea that I would end up entangled in a scandalous situation with Ivan, the same student I had disregarded.
Today was meant to be the happiest day of my life, my wedding day, but it ended up being a bitter and terrible day for me.
I was beaming with happiness and excitement as I gazed at my reflection in the mirror in my hotel dressing room that morning, where Raymond and I had stayed the night before the wedding day.
My wedding gown was a vision of elegance, with delicate lace cascading down my flowing white silhouette, accentuating my every move. Raymond had been the one to hand-pick it himself.
“You look quite dashing in that dress, Roselyn. Raymond would be blinded by your beauty as soon as he sees you” My best friend, Evelyn, complemented, my smile becoming broader.
“You know, Evelyn, I've always admired this day, when I would officially become Raymond's, and be known as Mrs. Raymond! Oh my goodness, I truly can't believe it's happening today and this morning!” I said excitedly, blushing deeply.
“He-he, that's how it's always for every bride. Now, let's get your retouching done fast so you can head to the hallway and meet Raymond, who is waiting for you.”
“Isn't it appropriate that we not keep your guests waiting for too long as well?” With a reprimand, Evelyn assisted me with the remaining arrangements that I needed, and next, we were headed to the hallway.
On seeing me, Raymond quickly left the people he was with, and marched down to me, holding me by the hand, and with a wide smile on his face.
How do I look? Pretty good, huh?” I asked, and he burst out laughing right away. He then looked directly into my eyes and said, “Of course, you're the prettiest lady I have ever and will ever see.”
My face became a gorgeous jade colour as I giggled out loud at his response. He definitely has a knack for words and captures my attention. It's understandable why I fell for him right away.
To be honest, I've had a thing for Raymond since our time in college. I always looked up to him and wanted to be his, so when he asked me out, I jumped at the chance to be his immediately.
“With a round of applause and a standing ovation, let's greet the groom and bride as they make their way down the aisle together!” The officiating priest's voice echoed as Raymond and I walked down the aisle, our hands tightly clasped.

“Now, let's move on to the marriage vows,” said the priest. “Mr. Raymond Park, do you take Roselyn Davis to be your lawfully wedded wife, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?” The priest's voice trailed off as the congregation erupted in sudden interruption and uproar.
Pictures of Ivan and me in a compromising position were plastered all over the place in the hall having been done all of a sudden, and in that picture, I was resting my head on Ivan's shoulder, fast asleep.
This happened last month when I had escorted the students to their trip in New York as their homeroom teacher and fell asleep beside Ivan. He was my seat mate on the airplane. My head must have fallen to his shoulders unknowingly and in the process, but what I couldn't understand was who had taken the picture.
What does he or she want from me? Why will he or she take pictures of Ivan and me, using them to ruin my big day for me? What in the world did I do wrong to deserve such embarrassment and disgrace?
“What is this picture that I'm seeing here, Roselyn? Were you having an affair with a student whom you're about six years older than? You've been cheating on me with him? You couldn't even do it with an older person but him? Was this to rub it in on me?” Raymond asked, his face contorted with anger of great intensity.
“Please… Raymond… is not… what you're thinking… I never had som-ething like that to do with the student… please… Raymond… I can explain. Allow me to explain this to you!” I pleaded profusely, getting down on my wedding dress as I begged, tears streaming down from my eyes.
“Forget it, Roselyn, I'm totally disappointed in you. How dare you embarrass me like this? On this note, this wedding is called off, and you're to have nothing to do with me from now on!” He declared, storming out from me in a rage as my tears came pouring down all the more like rain.
My heart broke into a million pieces. Without Raymond, my love, at my side, what will become of me? What kind of wreck does my life currently look like?
As my guests began to leave the hall one by one and hurled insults at me, I lay there on the ground sobbing uncontrollably.
“Gosh, unbelievable! Where went her shame? How could she be involved in that kind of relationship with her student?”
“There is nothing as ridiculous as this, you know? She even has a fiancé and had her wedding at hand, yet that didn't deter her from involving in such an act?”
“The only people I feel so sorry for are her fiancé, the student's parents, alongside her and her fiancé's parents. They must be so shocked, so disappointed in her”.
“What about the student she got involved with? Did you forget about him? How messed up his life would be now? I mean, he is still a young boy starting up life”.
Those are just a few of the insults and hateful remarks that were thrown at me by the people as they glared and hissed in disgust, with some even spitting in my direction.
Just at that moment, to make matters worse, my mother-in-law, Raymond's mother, Mrs. Park, hurriedly appr
oached me and delivered a series of heavy slaps to my cheeks.
