Ivan's POV
Arriving at the law office the next week, I busied myself with the arrangement of all the evidence that has been gathered to prove the case while waiting for Miss Roselyn to bring in hers so I can submit it at once to the judge that will oversee the case in the court.
I was still doing that when a knock came through the door. “Yes, please come in!” I answered it, my head still buried at work that I didn't even look to see who the person was.
“How are you the alone one here, Ivan? Where is lawyer Kimberly?” Asked the person whose all-too-familiar voice got me to swiftly raise to my feet, looking up, and there she was, standing before me, her handbag on her right hand as she stood before me, wearing a stoic expression on her face probably fraught by me.
“She stepped out for a while, and will be back later. If this is about your case, then it's not her you should be speaking to concerning it, but me” I answered, her face twisted in anger at me.
