My Least Favorite Class

Kikidori sighed as he pulled his gym shirt over his head, already dreading the next hour. Gym class was by far the most annoying period of the day. Not because he was out of shape—he was decent at sports—but because the class was always full of idiots who took it way too seriously.

He stuffed his school uniform into his locker and shut it with a clang. The locker room smelled like sweat and cheap deodorant, a lovely combination that made him want to get this over with as quickly as possible.

As he stepped into the gym, he spotted the usual chaos. A group of guys were already trying to dunk on the basketball hoop. Some were stretching like they were about to enter the Olympics. Others just stood around, clearly waiting for the period to end before it even started.

Kikidori sighed. Another day in hell.

The coach, a burly man with a clipboard, blew his whistle. "Alright, listen up! Today's workout is simple. We're doing relay sprints, push-ups, and—"

Kikidori tuned out. He'd just do the bare minimum and call it a day.

---

Meanwhile, in the girls' gym class…

Haruna stood with her hands on her hips, ears flicking in annoyance. "Push-ups again?" she groaned. "Coach, this is animal cruelty."

The girls nearby giggled, and the coach shot Haruna a tired look. "Just do your best, Haruna."

Haruna grumbled but got down onto the mat, her tail flicking as she started her push-ups. She wasn't bad at them, but damn, did she hate every second.

---

By the time gym was over, Kikidori was sweating but alive, and Haruna looked like she had fought a war.

As they met outside the gym, she immediately grabbed his arm. "Kiki. Carry me."

He smirked. "You look fine."

"I am dying."

"You did, like, twenty push-ups."

"And that's twenty too many!" she whined dramatically.

Kikidori just shook his head. "C'mon, drama queen. We've got history next."

Haruna groaned but followed him. "Ugh, fine. At least I get to sleep in that class."

Kikidori laughed. "Not if the teacher catches you."

"Please. He stopped trying to wake me up months ago."

As they walked toward their next class, Haruna's tail swayed behind her, and Kikidori felt the smallest bit of relief. Gym sucked, but at least the rest of the day would be easier.
