Chapter 48: A Meeting with Friends.

Jr. left his father's office, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. He decided to visit his grandparents, who had retired to their country home in the countryside. The peaceful surroundings and warm company were just what Jr. needed to clear his head.

As he arrived at the country home, Jr. was greeted by the sweet songs of birds and the gentle rustling of leaves. His grandparents, surrounded by the beauty of nature, welcomed him with open arms.

After spending a few hours with his grandparents, Jr. headed to the office, feeling rejuvenated. He called a meeting with his friends and colleagues, Alex and Joshua. As they arrived, Jr. couldn't help but feel a sense of camaraderie. Despite their professional relationship, the three friends often joked and teased each other.

As they sat down, Jr. filled them in on his conversation with his father. "You won't believe what Dad is suggesting now," Jr. said, shaking his head. "He wants to cut down part of the forest and get into the timber business."

Alex's eyes widened in surprise. "What? That's crazy! What did you tell him?"

Jr. sighed. "I told him I wouldn't let it happen. But he's not giving up. And to make matters worse, he's planning to invite his friends and their daughters on our hunting trip."

Joshua chuckled. "Sounds like your dad is trying to play matchmaker, Jr."

Alex burst out laughing. "Hampton the Second is trying to set dates for Jr! Oh man, this is priceless!"

Jr. giggled, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. It was good to have friends who could make him laugh, even on his worst days.

But as the meeting continued, Jr.'s expression turned serious. "Guys, I need your help. I have to find a way to stop Dad's plans to cut down the forest. Can you think of anything?"

Alex and Joshua exchanged a glance, their faces thoughtful. "We'll come up with something, Jr. Don't worry," Alex said, his voice filled with determination.

As they brainstormed ideas, Jr. felt a sense of hope rising within him. With his friends by his side, he knew that he could face whatever challenges lay ahead.
