Genius or Cheater?

Naveah's grades had always been the best in the class. She often got first place in the class.

"Not much. I guess around 600 points. I didn't perform well though."

"Wow! 600 points isn't even a good performance for you?

You're amazing!"

All of a sudden, Davina walked into the classroom. As soon as she entered, the classroom became silent instantly.

Naveah smiled scornfully and said, "Oh hey, the genius is back! I heard that you've been sleeping throughout every exam. I guess you have the confidence to pass your exam?"

Faced with her provocation, Davina was still calm, "Not bad, I guess so?"

Naveah was amused by her, "Wow, you're so confident!

I'm afraid that some people might end up in tears after the results are announced!"

Davina returned to her seat and smiled faintly, "Don't say things too early. What if I get first place?"

"First place?" Naveah laughed in disbelief, "Did you guys hear that? She actually said that she could get first place! This is really a big joke! Hahahaha!" Others also laughed and said,

"Davina, don't make a fool of yourself. If I were you, I would pack up and leave now."

"First place? More like she'll end up in the last place."

Davina felt lazy to bother with this bunch of primary-like students. She packed up her things and left the school.

It was useless to argue with them. When the results were announced, she was able to prove it to them.

The next day, in the office of Allord High School.

The teachers were working overtime to review the test papers.

"Oh, my god! Someone actually got full marks here!"

"No doubt that must be Emily's test paper." Emily's teacher said with pride, "I've always been confident about her."

"You're lucky to teach smart and clever students," Felicia gloomily read through the test papers. When she thought of Davina, she became angry.

Just then, Emily came to the office to hand in homework.

The teacher immediately pulled her and praised her, "Emily, you did a good job in the exam this time. You got full marks!"

Emily was pleasantly surprised and asked, "Really?"

This time, the reading part was difficult. She had never seen a few foreign words, but she didn't expect that she was right.

"By the way, is Davina your cousin?" The teacher said,

"She seems to have made a bet with Ms. Moore. I don't know how she did in the exam this time."

Felicia scowled and said, "With her grades, not paying attention in class, and sleeping through exams, passing is already a stretch!"

Emily's heart was filled with joy when she heard that and she left happily.

"Davina, very soon, you'll become the laughingstock of the entire university." Emily wished secretly.

"Oh, my god!"

Someone in the office exclaimed in shock behind her, "This student is unbelievable! She has lost one point on the literature exam!"

Emily stopped in her tracks and the corners of her lips curled into a smug smile.

Who else could have such a high score other than her?

She was definitely number one in the entire school this time!

After Emily left, the teachers in the office burst into an uproar.

Everyone crowded around to see the test paper with only one point deducted.

The teacher who was initially speaking to Emily became confused once she saw the test paper. "That's not right.

Why does this handwriting look so familiar?"

Afterward, she quickly retrieved the full score English test paper and said, "These two papers are identical. Plus, the handwriting isn't Emily's." She couldn't hold it in any longer. She directly tore off the seal to check the name.

"What? It was Davina?"

When they saw the name on the test paper, all the lecturers were stunned.

Everyone looked at each other without saying a word.

In the blink of an eye, it was the day of announcing the results.

Nathaniel Ball, the Dean, took the academic transcript and walked into the classroom with

a gloomy face.

The noisy classroom immediately went silent.

Nathaniel glanced at the crowd, and his sight stopped on Davina for a second. Then, he picked up the transcript and began to read the results.

"Naveah, first place, 570 points."

"Sophia, second place, 556 points."

"The third place is...

Everyone nervously listened to all the results, but they didn't hear Davina's name.

Maxwell couldn't help but ask,

"Sir, how about Davina's results? Why isn't her result announced?"

Nathaniel threw the academic transcript with a livid face and said, "Davina, come to my office!"

Davina disdainfully stood up and followed Nathaniel to the office without a word.

As soon as she entered the door, Nathaniel threw her answer card in front of her.

"Look at your results! Tell me, what the hell is going on?" Davina picked up the answer card and took a look.

She got more than 700 points in total.

Well, she was very satisfied.

"Not bad," Davina said indifferently, yet firmly.

Nathaniel was about to die of anger.

The other teachers in the office also looked over.

Everyone stared curiously at Davina. They were surprised by her calmness.

Outside the office...

Naveah, Maxwell, and the others secretly surrounded the door. They stuck their ears to the door and listened carefully to what was going on inside.

"What's going on?"

"I don't know. Just be quiet and listen to what the teacher said."

Ра!

In the office, Nathaniel slapped hard on the table. "Davina! You disappointed me too much! In order to win the bet, you dare to cheat! Do you still obey the rules and regulations of the school?!"

Huh? Cheating?

Davina was dissatisfied with the words, but the corners of her mouth still curled into a

mocking smile.

None of these people respected the fruits of her labor. To make matters worse, they even accused her of cheating to achieve her results.

"I didn't cheat." Davina frowned. Her delicate face was completely cold.

"You didn't cheat?" Nathaniel pointed at Davina agitatedly and said, "If you didn't cheat, how can you get such a high score?"

"Davina, there's a way to cheat smartly, you know. I mean, let's be real, you were a terrible student before. And then suddenly, in just two weeks, you go from last to first in the whole school? How does that work?"

"Why isn't it possible?" Davina coldly retorted, "For me, Davina, it is always possible!" Felicia was so angry that her face turned red. She rushed over and picked up Davina's answer card.

"Davina, l've been teaching you for over a year now. I know your level. But this time, your essay had a bunch of advanced vocabulary words that you've never used before.

How did you suddenly learn them? If you're trying to tell us you didn't cheat, I'm sorry, but that's just not gonna fly."

"Tell the truth!" Nathaniel took over Felicia's words and said,

"Tell me, where did you get your answer? Who gave you the answer?"

Davina frowned impatiently, and she was totally enraged "If you're gonna accuse me of cheating, you better have some proof to back it up. There are cameras in the exam room, you know. Go check them if you don't believe me."

"We already did that, like, ages ago," Nathaniel said, trying to sound all self-righteous.

"When you got your test paper, you looked at the questions for a bit and then started writing.

Less than an hour later, you were done and sleeping like a baby. It's pretty obvious you had the answers memorized!"

"Plus, your answers are almost identical to the model answers.

Need I say more?"

"Heh!" Davina was so angry that she laughed and said, "Are there any laws mentioned that the student's answer couldn't be the same as the standard answer?"

"You!"

Nathaniel was left speechless and turning red with anger,

"You're so out of line! I'm gonna need to speak to your parents about this!"
