Outside the door.
After listening to the conversation, Naveah and the others were shocked. They immediately ran away and spread the news regarding Davina's cheating.
"Have you heard? Davina cheated in this exam!"
"She answered the exam with the standard answer. She cheated and got first place!"
"The teacher is going to ask her parents to come over now!
There's going to be a good show!"
"I think Davina will most likely be expelled from the school!"
Once Philip and Derrick received the news, they rushed to the school to deal with this
matter.
On the way to the school, they thought that something bad had happened to Davina. They were extremely anxious.
When they arrived at the dean's office, Emily was waiting outside the door. She immediately greeted them.
"Uncle... Derrick."
"Emily, what happened to Davina?" Philip asked anxiously.
"Davina, she..." Emily lowered her head and pretended to be embarrassed. She continued to say, "She cheated in this exam and was caught red-handed by the teacher."
"What?" Philip and Derrick said at the same time, "No way!
Impossible!"
After that, they pushed her away and ran to the dean's office.
Emily bit her lips and stomped her feet to express her gloomy mood. Then she followed them into the office.
As soon as Philip and Derrick entered the office, they rushed up and asked Davina worriedly, "Davina, are you okay?"
Davina shook her head and felt a warmhearted feeling. "Dad, Derrick, I'm fine."
Philip took a deep breath and turned to look at Nathaniel.
"Mr. Ball, is there any misunderstanding? I know my daughter's personality. She will never cheat and do such an immoral thing!"
Nathaniel was fuming as he handed over the answer card,
"Hold on a second, don't jump to conclusions. Take a look at her answers first."
Meanwhile, Emily stumbled over her words, "Sorry, Mr. Ball.
Davina messed up this time. I apologize on her behalf. I'm really sorry."
Nathaniel glared at Davina in disgust, "You're both from the Scott family, but you can't even measure up to your cousins?"
As soon as he finished speaking, Philip and Derrick's faces darkened at the same time.
"Mr. Ball, I don't agree with your words. Why do you say Davina is bad?"
"And what about you, Emily?
Why are you so quick to confirm Davina's mistake? Did you find out what happened to her? What do you mean?" Derrick asked coldly.
Emily's expression stiffened.
She bit her lips and lowered her eyes to hide the coldness in them. "I'm sorry, I…"
Philip interrupted Emily directly and said in a loud voice, "Davina didn't do anything wrong.
We've seen her hard work during this period.
Her achievements are completely worthy of her efforts!"
"Exactly." Derrick beamed at Davina, "My little sister is amazing. You're even better than me."
Looking at her father and brother who had been speaking up for her, Davina felt as if her heart was surrounded by love. It was warm and powerful.
"Let's get out of here," Derrick took her hand.
"I'm going to cook for you at home to celebrate your excellent grades."
"I will give you a big red packet to celebrate my precious daughter's first place in the exam!"
Nathaniel was speechless. Felicia went silent.
The same for Emily, who remained quiet.
"Mr. Scott, did you listen to what I said?"
Nathaniel almost lost his temper, "Your daughter cheated in the exam! It's such a serious thing. Do you understand?"
Derrick turned around and gave Nathaniel a serious look, "If you don't have any evidence, don't go around spreading rumors and ruining my sister's reputation."
Nathaniel was taken aback as he pulled out the standard answer, "Take a look at this.
What's the probability that her answers match the standard answers?"
Derrick ignored him and said, "This can only mean that my sister is clever. She has learned the soul of wit and guessed the way of teacher answering questions."
Nathaniel felt a wave of anger sweep over him.
He didn't expect Davina's parents to defend her instead of blaming her.
"I guess you all should know about Davina's academic level.
How could she improve and get the first place in the entire school within half a month?"
"So, you think Davina stole the answers?" Philip's expression turned dark. "The exam papers and answers were written by the teachers. How could they have fallen into a student's hands?"
"If you say so, do you mean one teacher sells the answer?"
Nathaniel choked and said in embarrassment, "I didn't say that."
Philip looked at him seriously, "You framed my daughter without any evidence. I can sue you. Please apologize to my daughter immediately!"
Apologize? Nathaniel couldn't wait to shut their mouths up.
"I finally understand. You guys are the ones who pamper and spoil Davina!" He roared,
"Since that's the case, there's no way the school can keep her here. We'll expel her from here!"
As soon as Nathaniel finished speaking, Emily's lips curved into a smug smile.
Hmph!
"Davina, you were totally screwed this time!" Emily thought.
"Expel me?" Davina stood up with her face clouded, "You have no right to expel me without any evidence to prove that I cheated."
Nathaniel knew that he was in the wrong, so he could only give himself a way out. "Okay!
I'll give you a chance to prove yourself. You say that you didn't cheat in the exam, right?
Dare you retake the exam?"
Davina answered disdainfully, "Why wouldn't I dare?"
Nathaniel was skeptical, "Are you sure you've thought this through? Let's do this. I'll ask other teachers to give you a new exam paper, and if you can answer it, we'll believe you didn't cheat. But if you can't, then it's obvious that you cheated. And, according to the rules, we'll have to expel you from here."
Davina snorted coldly as she changed into a more comfortable position and replied, "Sure thing."
Just an exam, why would she worry about it?
"There's no time to waste. I'll give you a question on the spot, and you'll answer it," Felicia said as she walked up, casting a scornful glance at Davina.
"I'll give you a translation question. If you can translate it correctly, you pass the exam."
After that, Felicia picked up the pen and began to write on the paper.
She wrote a hundred words essay with half of the vocabulary in the essay considered advanced vocabulary.
It seemed like she did it purposely to avoid Davina from passing her exam.
Davina smirked as she picked up her pen and glanced at the question. Without hesitation, she translated it right away.
In less than five minutes, she had finished her translation.
When Felicia checked the answer, she was shocked.
How was that possible?
Not only was Davina translated correctly, but she also translated the sentence in a
quite poetic way.
Looking at Felicia's stunned expression, Davina felt like laughing.
She stayed abroad for around three years. This level was nothing to her.
"Ms. Moore," Davina lazily asked, "Since you look down on me, how about I give you a test?"
As soon as she finished speaking, all the people were stunned.
Was Davina crazy?
How was she dared to give her teacher a test?
Felicia was enraged by Davina. She gritted her teeth and said, "Bring it on!"
Davina cheekily smiled and wrote down two lines of sentences.
Felicia looked down at the paper, and her face suddenly changed.
She swallowed hard, with sweat beading up on her forehead.
After a long time, she said with no confidence and in a low voice, "It's... it's the organ transplantation of different species."
Davina burst out laughing and said, "I'm sorry, you gave the wrong answer. The meaning of this sentence is 'Objection to the disestablishment of the church from the government'." Derrick sneered in a cold voice.
"Is this level of ability and academics expected of a teacher at Allord High School?
How dare you still question my sister's English level?"
Felicia felt humiliated and embarrassed that she couldn't say a word.
Now no one dared to question Davina's skills.
The next exam was literature.
The lecturers of geography, politics, and history gave Davina a few questions.
They purposely came up with questions that were beyond the syllabus. However, they were shocked by Davina as she could answer them correctly. She even gave the almost perfect standard answer!
This time, everyone was shocked.
Davina responded nonchalantly, "Thanks to my teachers for thinking highly of me and providing challenging questions beyond the syllabus.
However, for these few questions, l've seen similar ones in exercise books, and it seems they've come in handy today."
The three teachers looked at each other. In the end, they could only lament and said,
"You have such an amazing memory ability. Why did you neglect your studies in the first two years?"
Davina looked at them disdainfully without any reply.
Why?
The only could blame was that she was foolish in her previous life!
"Davina! My question for you is done!" The Mathematics lecturer said excitedly, "If you can answer my question, I will be the first to help you with your reputation!"
