Chapter 149: Ultra-Fast Regeneration Technique
As Veigar and Mukade clashed, Minato and the others exchanged a quick glance and immediately sprang into action.
To ensure Sara's safety, Naruto was assigned to guard her closely.
After Mukade's massive puppet obliterated Veigar's Shadow Clone, anxiety welled up in his chest. Realizing continued confrontation with Veigar would be pointless, he opted to recklessly charge through the walls in search of Sara, who was now on the surface.
But just then, Veigar descended like a divine weapon, hands hoisting a massive Rasengan pulsing with dark green light.

Once again, Mukade was slammed into the ground by Veigar's blow, the impact reducing a large portion of the puppet factory to rubble.

Veigar, pinning Mukade to the ground with all his strength, let out a full-throated roar, channeling every last shred of chakra from within.
To prepare for this one attack, he had deployed ten Shadow Clones as decoys and completely drained his own chakra reserves.
Veigar knew, so long as the source of the Ryūmyaku wasn't sealed, no matter how powerful his attacks, Mukade would always rise again through its power.
Anyone else might have chosen to stall for time, waiting for Sara to seal the Ryūmyaku.

Under Mukade's control, the long tail of his puppet lashed out violently toward Veigar.

The enormous tail struck true. Caught off guard, Veigar was hurled through the air and smashed into the collapsed wreckage of the factory.

A second later, Veigar rose to his feet. Though seriously wounded, he had managed to absorb a portion of the Ryūmyaku's energy, leaving him with a faint reserve of chakra.
His eyes burned with a flush of exhilaration.
Because he was almost there.
And then, the breakthrough came, Veigar's excitement nearly sent him flying with joy.
Freed from Veigar's suppression, Mukade began drawing upon the Ryūmyaku's energy to repair his puppet body.

As Mukade activated the regeneration technique, the shard of Phenomenal Evil Power embedded in his body came to life.

With that declaration, Mukade charged.
But rather than dodging, Veigar rushed to meet him, and in one swift leap, landed squarely atop his head.

With Veigar riding atop him, Mukade burst from the ruined puppet factory onto the surface, bringing the entire structure down behind them.
On the surface—
Thanks to Naruto's warning, Sara was already leading the people of Roran toward the central plaza for safety.

Sara urged the citizens forward, keeping to the rear to ensure none were left behind.

The moment she finished speaking, Naruto charged toward Mukade, Shadow Clone Jutsu at the ready.
As she watched Naruto's determined figure recede, Sara urged her people once more:
"Everyone, faster!"
After tossing Veigar aside, Mukade spotted both Sara and Naruto moving across the surface.
But he paid Naruto no mind.
He even forgot about Veigar.
In his eyes, only Sara remained.
To the now-arrogant and delusional Mukade, neither Veigar, with his power to steal the Ryūmyaku, nor Naruto charging at him, were worth worrying about.
No matter how fierce their resistance, Mukade was convinced he could crush them both.
Once Sara died, his only weakness would be eliminated, and total domination of the Five Great Nations would be within reach.

Immediately, Mukade controlled his colossal puppet body with uncanny agility, surging toward Sara.

Naruto's Shadow Clone, palm glowing with spiraling chakra, launched a kill strike at Mukade, buying precious time for Sara's escape.
