At the moment Medusa's body seized the Green Lotus Core Flame, the Ice Cold Spring water on her skin dried up completely, because the flame immediately baked it off. Luckily, Wu Tian's generous dousing prevented her from getting hurt.

Queen Medusa looked at the remaining green lotus platform and the fire lotus seeds on it. Queen Medusa carefully swam beneath the lotus platform to where it joined the stem, and Wu Tian followed. Because he couldn't be too far from her, he had to stick close.

With a gentle slice of her jade ruler, the perfect, art like green lotus slowly detached. As soon as it fell, Wu Tian guided it to hover and spin in midair. It looked even more like some celestial treasure truly magical to behold.

Wu Tian examined the lotus seeds in the spinning lotus platform, a faint smile on his lips. "One, two, three…" His eyes followed the revolving lotus until his smile turned a bit wry. He shook his head he was still weak, and watching the lotus spin was making him dizzy.

Medusa, standing beside him, found it amusing. She covered her mouth and laughed quietly, thinking her guardian spirit was rather cute at the moment.

Wu Tian made the lotus platform stop spinning and confirmed that there were exactly eleven lotus seeds no mistakes. Queen Medusa put away her jade ruler, then retrieved eleven small bottles she had prepared in advance. She gently picked out the fire lotus seeds from the heart of the lotus and placed each seed into a separate jade bottle. Then she handed them to Wu Tian.

"Guardian spirit, please store these lotus seeds and the platform. From now on, what belongs to this Queen also belongs to you!"

Wow so bold!

Wu Tian didn't refuse. As Medusa said, they were already bound together like a family; no need to stand on ceremony. Queen Medusa herself belonged to Wu Tian! He placed the fire lotus seeds and the green lotus platform into his Husha Treasure ring. Once the green lotus left the stem, the emerald glow around them began steadily shrinking.

Compared to the journey in, she was moving much faster now because going in was like swimming upstream, hindered by the heat, while leaving was going downstream with the current.

Medusa quickly rushed out of the magma lake, aware that the two headed Fire Spirit Snake was still around. If it finished recovering in this endless magma and forced another fight, that wouldn't be a joke. But she and Wu Tian both felt puzzled they had spent quite some time retrieving the Green Lotus Core Flame, yet the two headed Fire Spirit Snake hadn't shown up.

Given its near immortality in magma, it should have emerged long ago for revenge but it never did. Even as Medusa rose through the viscous magma surface, the creature still failed to appear. Neither Wu Tian nor Medusa could make sense of it.

They had already acquired the Heavenly Flame, so the fact that the two headed Fire Spirit Snake wasn't there to block them was all the better. Without overthinking, they returned to the surface.

Once Queen Medusa left the magma zone, four bubbles appeared in the lake, "blub… blub… blub… blub…" which burst to reveal four snake heads actually two two headed Fire Spirit Snakes.

One, obviously larger, spoke in human language to the smaller one, "I've just become the two headed Fire Spirit Snake King, and this woman showed up to claim the Heavenly Flame. If I fought her head on, I might hurt her badly, but I wouldn't come away unscathed either. Little one, it seems you're less fortunate than me. But at least she left the lotus stem behind. Then the Fire Spirit Snake King leapt from the magma lake, burrowed upward through the earth, and vanished in the blink of an eye!

During Medusa's evolution, experts of the Jia Ma Empire might show up, causing major trouble.

"This Queen will kill you!" Medusa roared, a pair of wings unfurling behind her. She shot toward the two headed Fire Spirit Snake King in fury.
