125. Call him

To their greatest chagrin, neither the Athamanas nor Tele Tete saw much of the particular danovus training session that Physalis had taken Wandi to. Although the pair themselves had been found in the gymnasium of the Floating Air, the two danovuses moved so quickly that they looked more like two blurred spots than living people.

So the team's afternoon was not very interesting. The only thing that distracted the boys from watching the two danovuses trainer was a floating scroll that said that the organizers of the Baracks Cup had looked into the problem raised by Tele Tete and had decided that the competition could safely continue tomorrow.

Indeed, according to the letter, the next day, while Physalis dragged Wandi away to study with her again, the Barracks Cup continued. None of the team members fought that day, so they just watched the duels, because even though they weren't rooting for anyone, this activity was much more exciting than watching the two danovuses training like a speck of color.

The next day, however, Wandi joined the team on their way to the arena, despite the danovus lady's attempts to stop him. That day, another Athamana member, Teveli, entered the competition. Most of his opponents had either been scared to death by the sight of his ghost or had no idea what to do against the attacks of a creature that didn't quite move on a plane they could understand.

In light of this, it was no wonder that everyone was eagerly awaiting this duel. Theoretically, only the best of the best were present here, they shouldn't be scared by a simple ghost. If he was honest, even Teveli himself would have been happy with a little challenge, as he was quite bored with this competition thing by now and he was sorry that they didn't pair him with someone from their own team, because then at least he could have actually dueled.

So late in the afternoon, as the last duel of the day, Teveli walked confidently into the arena, where he was pitted against a water mage boy. The duel started on command, as usual, and both competitors immediately started fighting with full force. As usual, Teveli summoned Kele, who dodged the water attacks with brilliant moves and landed his own blows.

It just seemed that Teveli would leave the arena as a winner again, when one of the water mage boy's attacks was able to cut Kele's translucent form. The ghost jumped back with wide eyes, the last thing, the fishes he saw before his death swimming faster than ever in his eyes, as he was forced to flee from the attacks.

The duel thus became much more serious, Teveli also took out his weapons and attacked the water mage, but his blade seemed to simply slip off the young man, as if he hadn't even touched him, it didn't matter where he attacked. And if that wasn't enough, unlike before, Kele couldn't even hurt their opponent.

"We're in trouble." Teveli noted, backing up and grabbing his left wrist, from which the weapon had just been knocked out and on which a short, but very deep cut already appeared.

"Quite." Kele agreed in an icy voice, several black spots adorning his ghost body.

"Can you recover from this?" Teveli asked as he jumped out of the way of another batch of water blades.

"Don't worry, a few hours of rest and I'll be fine." He got the answer while the ghost attacked their opponent again, but in return for his attempt he received a large black spot the size of a palm on the right side of his neck. "The question is, will I last long enough to heal." He sighed when he appeared next to Teveli, hiding behind one of the rocks.

"This is a serious situation." The Tele boy gritted his teeth and looked out from behind the rock with an angry look. "Fuck, he disappeared again." He growled. "We won't be able to put up with this for long. What should we do Kele?" He asked, when with a huge thunderous sound, as if the sky was about to fall, the rock behind Teveli fell into small pieces.

"Gotcha." Their water mage opponent grinned and launched another batch of attacks against them. The ghost and man duo took to the nearest rock to escape. However, their shelter was crushed to dust like the previous one. "You can run, but you can't hide." The opponent chuckled as he slowly walked to the rock behind which Teveli had hidden the this time.

The hegin boy, expecting this, attacked his opponent in the back with the help of Kele. Or rather, he tried to attack his opponent in the back. However, their attack, as if they had hit some impenetrable wall, dissipated into nothing. Kele's figure began to vibrate, and Teveli flew a good arrow-shot distance before hitting the ground.

The boy screamed and pressed his hand to his left shoulder. He dislocated his shoulder, making his left arm completely useless. The western water mage boy, ignoring Kele, started towards Teveli again with a wide grin on his face. Meanwhile, Tele Tete had already turned around to tell the announcer to stop the duel, since after the last accident he was forbidden to go up to the competition area and take over the fight.

In the ruined arena, Teveli slid backwards on the ground, clutching his shoulders, as his opponent got closer and closer to him. The water that the strange boy had summoned rose higher and higher on the floor of the battlefield and slowly spread Teveli's feet. Finally, the Tele boy's back met the wall of the arena. He had nowhere to run, and the threat was getting closer and closer to him.

"Teveli!" At Kele's voice, the said boy immediately looked in his direction, the ghost looked at him worriedly, then faded and appeared in front of the child. "We can't do it alone. Call him! Maybe we can defeat him together." The ghost said in a cold voice and even his hands were clenched into fists. Teveli's eyes widened for a moment. He knew exactly who Kele was talking about, but he never thought that the situation would ever get this bad.

"Our duel is over, eastern scum. It was a pleasure beating the crap out of you." The mage boy raised his right hand to the sky, and behind him a huge wave rose from the ground, sucking up all the water. Teveli closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

"Kamu!" He shouted, so loudly that he didn't even know he could. The ghost contract on his right shoulder began to tingle strangely.

The first consequence of Teveli's shout was a water mage with raised eyebrows, behind whom the wave had already turned into dangerously sharp icicles. Then the ice suddenly melted into nothingness, as if it had never been there. Teveli's opponent suddenly took a deep breath, the end of which seemed to have been cut off, and then he spread himself face forward in the sand with wide eyes. On the back of the young man lying on the ground, first the outlines of a boot appeared, then a ghost dressed in a greenish-blue dress, standing with one foot on the corpse.

"Seriously? What was so difficult about this?" The ghost that appeared out of nowhere spoke, causing both Teveli and Kele to open their mouths.
