At this point, he still cared about saving face for himself.

And what about me?

He had already trampled my dignity over and over again without mercy!

I laughed bitterly.

"Since you can't give me a fair and just work environment, I'll have to seek it out myself."

With that, I made a move to hang up the phone.

Donavan told me to wait.

"You're doing all this because of me and Jade, aren't you?"

"Then let me ask you, you saw the video from last night, right? Why aren't you yelling or making a fuss, acting like nothing happened?"

I instantly understood.

So the video from yesterday was staged by him.

He was waiting to see me go crazy, waiting for me to beg him to change his mind.

This was truly laughable.

I was no longer the little girl who enjoyed melodramatic storylines.

Every decision I made was carefully thought out, not some ploy to win him back.

I let out a cold laugh and answered his question seriously:

"I hope you understand, I'm serious about the divorce."
