Chapter 7: Feeding the Blood

After making a deal with Ana's master, I didn't dare waste any time, because I was running out of time. I had to do as Ana's master said and go find that Finhas in Linnsue Town.

Linnsue Town is north of Luce Town, not very far, about an hour's drive.

I told Ana about this, and she paused for a moment when she heard it: "Finhas? It sounds familiar.

He might be a friend of my master from before. You should be respectful when you go there. You never know, he might be a guru."

I understood, and then I thought for a while: "Ana, I don't know what else will happen when I go to Linnsue Town. My family's situation is so strange, I'm not at ease asking relatives to look after them.

I want to trouble you to look after them, and I'll pay you when things are settled."

Ana sighed, "At this point, there's nothing else we can do. I'll take care of your family. You...take care of yourself."

We were both in the same boat, after all, we were both in danger. There was no need for further words. I explained everything about my family and told Ana to be careful with the oil bar. After that, I went to see my family and then set off for Linnsue Town with the urn.

It was already noon, the sun was very strong, and the air was very hot and dry. I arrived in Linnsue Town already sweating profusely.

But I was anxious and couldn't care about being tired. Once I arrived, I hurriedly asked about this person Finhas.

Unexpectedly, Finhas was still quite famous, and I asked the first person I met and got the answer.

This auntie was very enthusiastic: "You mean Finhas? Oh, you want him to tell your fortune? He's always right. My son..."

She kept talking, and I got the general idea that this Finhas was quite famous. I felt a lot more at ease, and after asking for the address, I hurried over.

Finhas's residence was a large courtyard with a luxurious five-storey townhouse inside, worth a lot of money.

This was more or less a bit of a surprise to me. After all, I thought guru is very low-key, but I didn't expect this Finhas to be so high-profile.

But I didn't think much about it. Seeing that the front door was open, I was afraid that he was doing business, so I walked straight in.

There was no one in the courtyard, but there was a strong smell of herbs that was not quite like herbs, which made people puzzled.

I looked around for a while and asked if anyone was there. As a result, the window on the second floor of the villa opened, and a middle-aged man with a bare upper body and a cigarette looked at me and said, "I'm not doing business today, come back tomorrow."

I was stunned for a moment. This man was like a mafia godfather, with tattoos all over his body, and he looked so tough with a cigarette in his mouth.

Is this guru? I pursed my lips and smiled dryly, "Hello, are you guru Finhas?"

He looked at me impatiently and told me to come back tomorrow. I still bowed respectfully, "I'm from Luce Town, there's a guru there who sent me, and there's a letter here."

As soon as I said this, he was instantly stunned, and then casually exhaled smoke. I saw that he was not speaking, so I looked up at him and saw that he was also looking at me. His eyes were very deep. Then he suddenly smiled and said, "That's interesting. Come in."

After he said that, he disappeared, probably going downstairs. I walked towards the door, and as I got to it, it opened. A beautiful woman with a flushed face ran out with her head down.

I was stunned for a moment, and then I saw Finhas shouting at me from inside the room, "Come in."

Fuck! Was he just fucking the beautiful young woman? Could this person really be trusted? I was very doubtful, but I had to go in there with a stiff upper lip.

Finhas was all muscle, wearing just his underwear. He was already drinking with his legs crossed when I went over to him.

I tried to smile in a flattering way, but I couldn't laugh. He gargled and swallowed his drink, and the words came: "Isn't he crazy? Why did you let me come to me?"

Finhas must have been referring to Ana's master. I became respectful and told him everything.

He listened with his legs crossed, and when I finished, his face was solemn. "Where's the letter?"

I quickly took out the crumpled letter and handed it to him. He frowned as he read it, and after he finished, he started smoking again without saying a word. As he smoked, his eyes suddenly reddened.

I was dumbfounded. Did he just cry? He let out a long puff of smoke and cursed again, "You old fool, if you die, I'll be at peace."

I was surprised and curious. What had happened?

But I didn't need to know. I just needed to save my family. I waited until he calmed down and then asked, "Guru Finhas, I don't know about me and my family..."

He interrupted me directly: "Where's the urn?" I quickly opened my backpack and took out the urn.

He snatched it from me, and after stroking it for a while, he got up and walked towards the house.

"You wait in my courtyard for two days, and see if that old fool succeeds. If he doesn't, there's no need to help you anymore, so just go die on the street. And remember, you're not allowed to leave the courtyard for even one step in these two days, or you deserve to die."

These words made me freeze for a while, and then I realized that this guy had taken the urn and told me to wait until Ana's master succeeded.

I panicked immediately. Could Ana's master fail?

Finhas didn't care about me either, and I didn't know where he went. I had to wait in the courtyard.

It was late at night when Finhas finally showed up. "Did the old man ask you to do something at midnight?"

I said I had to pour blood into the urn, and he cursed, "Then why the fuck haven't you done it yet? It's already half past eleven, you want to get me killed?"

I was shocked by his words, but I didn't dare to say anything. I hurriedly went to pour the blood. He had placed the urn in his bedroom, where there was even an incense burner burning incense. The room smelled like a temple, and I felt that he had been worshipping the urn before.

When I entered, I also had to bleed. He cursed again, "It's not even midnight yet, what's your hurry? Do you want to get me killed?"

Fuck!

Okay, I'll just stand here and wait for his orders. He started smoking again, and looked at the urn with a pensive expression, as if he were feeling something.

I wanted to ask him about the urn, but he was so fierce, how dare I open my mouth?

So I just waited until midnight, and Finhas immediately told me to bleed. I bit my finger and let the blood drip onto the ground, and he grabbed me and dragged me outside again.

I found him quite frightened, as if he would die if he didn't run, and it made me frightened too.

The two of us ran straight downstairs. I didn't hear anything, but Finhas listened intently upstairs, and after a while nodded: "Okay, go sleep in the courtyard and wait slowly."

There was nothing I could do. There was no rush. I slept on the floor, and for two days in a row, I was dragged to bleed at midnight by Finhas.

By the sixth day, Finhas's face was very solemn. My heart was also raised. It was the last day. Would Ana's master succeed?

I paced anxiously all day, and Finhas never appeared from the bedroom. He was probably looking at the urn.

As the sky gradually darkened, I became more and more nervous, fearing that I might suddenly faint and ruin everything for the family of four.

I just stared at the watch, watching the hour hand inch closer and closer to midnight. The courtyard was silent, and Finhas didn't even turn on the lights. I didn't know what the hell he was up to.

It wasn't until almost midnight that Finhas solemnly shouted at me to go and draw blood.

I hurriedly went to do it, but the urn didn't change at all. I dripped the blood and left with Finhas.

I could see that Finhas was obviously relieved. Before, he had been terrified, but now he was at ease.

Something didn't feel right to me. I thought back to Ana's master and pondered Finhas' actions over the past two days. They didn't care about me at all; they only cared about the urn.

I became uneasy, and at this moment I couldn't help but ask, "What exactly are you going to do?Are you still going to take care of my affairs?"

Finhas glared at me and said, "Aren't we taking care of you? Who do you think I'm doing this for? Now that the old bastard is fighting against people, he doesn't even care about his life anymore, what more do you want?"

I had been anxious and frightened, and even after arriving here, I had been scolded by him in various ways. Coupled with the fact that I couldn't see any hope for me, I really couldn't hold back my emotions.

I said I felt you were using me, just for the urn. Will you save my family or not?

Finhas looked very unhappy: "What the hell do you know? The daughter of that old bastard is in the same boat as you. If you die, she's finished too. How can we not save you?"

I said, 'What do you mean?' He pushed open the door and walked back in, pointing at the urn and saying, "Stop your nonsense. You're lucky she fancies you..."

Before he could finish, the urn suddenly moved. I shuddered in fear, and Finhas' face lit up with joy, and he actually laughed. Then he became sad again, sighed, and said, "It's done... It's all retribution, it serves him right."

Who was he talking about? I looked at him. He stopped sighing and looked serious. "It's not over yet. The old fool has only delayed the effect of black magic in disguise. He said it would be ten years, but that sorcerer is so powerful, he might be able to cast the spell again in ten months. By then, your family will truly never be able to come back to life!"
