"Who pushed me, Diego? Why won't you say anything?" Jane kept urging Diego to tell her who did it, but Diego remained silent. "I can't say things without facts. The only person who saw who pushed you—the only witness was my father and he—died years ago, so until I get my hands on evidence or probably another witness, I just can't tell you,I have my reasons" Diego responded, wanting to leave again.

"you have your reasons?? but Wait, don't go yet. What should I do now? I feel so horrible—I have been suffering all this time, paying debts without knowing they've been paid, performing duties that weren't needed. What should I do now, huh? Please don't leave yet," Jane muttered. She wasn't feeling fine at all; the pain and betrayal were hitting her hard. She wished she hadn't asked him, and at the same time, she was furious. Even though Diego refused to tell her and had a valid reason, she decided not to disturb him further. Instead, she asked, "How were you after your sister passed?" Immediately after she said that, Diego gripped his knee harder, his expression changed, tears gathered in his eyes, and his lips became tight. Jane noticed it was a question she wasn't supposed to ask, so she quickly changed the subject.

"geez Now I understand why you don't drive. I'm so sorry for reopening your wounds—I never thought you were going through something like this, I always thought your life was so perfect, you had people who worship you to even think about all these and I only cared about myself," she said, trying as much as possible to comfort Diego.

"It's fine. Nobody is perfect, you know—we all have our flaws. So, princess, I have somewhere to be. Before you kill me with your questions, I will take my leave now," he said as he got up to finally leave. Jane knew he didn't really have anywhere to go; he just wanted to leave the room.

"Maybe I shouldn't have asked about your sister," she muttered to herself. Then she continued, "Can I hug you? I need a hug." She asked Diego, and he turned around with surprise on his face. Before he could even say anything, Jane got up and hugged him tightly. "Thanks for all you do, Diego," she said, before he turn to leave.

Outside Jane's room, Dante was waiting. He wanted to come in, but when he noticed Diego and Jane were having a serious conversation, he didn't want to interrupt, so he thought waiting would be best. When he turned to leave, Diego had already opened the door.

"Dante, where are you going? How long have you been waiting?" Diego asked, although he just wanted to make sure Dante hadn't heard what they were saying or how much he had heard.

"I just came when Jane asked for a hug. I didn't want to interrupt you both; that's why I waited. I had something I wanted to address with you concerning Jane and after the press conference," Dante lied. He noticed how gloomy Diego looked, so he just wanted to divert his attention and keep him busy to forget what he had just said.

"Okay, tell Ms. Rose to watch Jane and come meet me in the study," Diego replied before leaving.

Dante searched for Ms. Rose everywhere but couldn't find her, so he told Clarita to watch Jane. Clarita, who is more like Ms. Rose's child, is 19 and helps with activities at the Orlov estate. After that, he went to meet Diego in the study.

"What were you talking about?" Diego asked.

Dante adjusted the chair to sit and began, "After Jane's press conference, I noticed someone following her, but since nobody was around to guard her from the chaos, I couldn't go after the person." He stopped and continued, "So, when you brought Jane home and the medics left, I went back to the office to check the CCTV camera, and this is the person." He handed his tablet to Diego. Diego's expression changed—this person looked so familiar. "Where have I seen him before?" He brought out his own phone and searched for "Daniel Crestwell" on the internet, and boom—it was him. He jumped up. "Look straight up," he ordered Dante, "and close the door to the study, making sure no one is there." After closing the door, Dante asked, "What's wrong? This man looks familiar to me too, but since the photo from the CCTV was taken from a distance, I couldn't confirm—who is he?" He asked, turning to Diego.

"This is Daniel Crestwell, a dangerous man. He is not just Jane's ex-husband; he was the one who orchestrated the truck that caused our accident years ago," Diego said. With shock, Dante responded, "What? Why is he still walking around and living his life?" Now pacing, Diego said, "Reduce your voice. I know Jane's room is far from here, but I don't want her to hear. We've been looking for concrete evidence. When we got hold of the driver, and at the moment he wanted to come clean after speaking to us on the phone, he told us that he would bring proof. But on his way to the station, he got into a severe accident. Someone tried to get rid of him before we could catch him, and it was Daniel Crestwell too." Dante was more than shocked, and he asked, "How did you come to the conclusion that it was Daniel who tried to kill him?"

Diego waved his hands and said, "You know I don't speak without facts. When we got to him, he was already at the hospital, and the last thing the driver said before he died was—"
