Chapter || Death

The person fell silent, tilting his head for a moment before a realization hit him. The person smiled, a smug grin almost arrogant spreading at the corner of his lips as he saw his flushed and confused expression. "Well, damn.. Who knew you were hungry, little mouse?"

He chuckled softly, holding back the shame that enveloped him. "I haven't eaten since I passed out..." he said hesitantly but cheerfully, and could slightly forget the suffering he was enduring.

The person grinned, his grin slowly widening.

"Oh really? Is that so, little mouse?" he asked in a firm voice that sounded slightly intimidating.

"I wonder if you'd be willing to do something for me. In return for saving you, little mouse?" the person said, his voice firm and intimidating.

He made a strange expression as the person reached out and stroked his cheek and chin gently. He showed his sour expression while rolling his eyes lazily.

"But give me something to eat first, I'm hungry." he replied, gently pushing the person's hand away.

The person clicked his tongue, a slight expression of fake disappointment appearing on his face, though his grin didn't leave his lips.

"Oh really? You want me to give you food and all you're willing to give in return is a little help? I was hoping you'd be more generous." He said, a little arrogant and firm. with a teasing expression that emphasized his intimidation.

"Are you sure you don't have something a little... more valuable? Or worthwhile? Hm~?" He asked firmly with a grin etched clearly on his lips.
