Family Man Geto

A heavy silence fell. Every gaze brimmed with barely concealed awe.

Nanako's legs trembled. The scarred, cratered ground looked like the aftermath of a nuclear blast—how could a boy her age wield such power? Beside her, Mimiko's lips twisted bitterly, a cold dread creeping up her spine. She'd almost challenged Yuto.

'Incredible, incredible, incredible!' Unlike the rattled twins, Geto looked like a treasure hunter who'd struck gold. His eyes sparkled with delight.

"Yuto-kun, you've outdone yourself. Next time we meet, if you'd join our loving family for the greater good, that'd be perfect!"

[Urban Horror: Yokai Tales - Chapter One Cleared. Rewards: 5 Saint Quartz, 5-Star Special Craft Essence - Godslayer x1]

[Congratulations, host! First-time kill of 'Kishimojin' grants 30 Saint Quartz. Concept Craft Essence 'Assimilation' auto-upgrades to one break.]

[Detected cursed remnant from 'Kishimojin' - 'Barbarian God's Heart' automatically stored in inventory.]

[5-Star Special Craft Essence: Godslayer]

Description: Bathed in fire and sword, the boy faced the evil god. Steel rain fell upon the skies.

[Effect]: When equipped, 50% chance to gain a random ability from slain gods or divine beings.

Yuto's first five-star craft essence, Godslayer, was a game-changer.

Ability to steal powers from fallen gods, even at a 50% chance, with potential to grow stronger is broken.

The Barbarian God's Heart piqued his curiosity too. 'What's this for?' he wondered, eyeing the pulsing, purple lump in his inventory. 'Can it max out my skills?'

He smirked, recalling endless game grinds, but the system chimed in:

[Note: Essential material for crafting Divine Constructs.]

"Divine Constructs?" Yuto's grin widened. In the Fate universe, these were weapons forged by gods or beings that can rival gods like Excalibur beyond the reach of Unlimited Blade Works. Crafting one required the Divine Construct essence and divine materials. He lacked the essence for now, so he tucked the heart away.

This dungeon story 'chapter' netted him 35 Saint Quartz, adding his remaining stock, he had 53. "Just shy of two 10-pulls," he sighed, but he'd already scored big.

......….

"…Every time I'm with you, my worldview gets flipped," Misaki Mei said after a long pause, her mismatched eyes swirling with complex emotions.

'He's getting more mysterious. Soloing a curse like that?'

"Better buckle up. It's only gonna get weirder," Yuto teased, earning an exasperated eye roll.

"Yuto big brother, can you grab the Kishimojin statue from the temple? I can't lift it alone," little Yayoi pleaded, her small face scrunched in distress. Even with her enhanced strength, the hundred-pound stone was too much.

Seeing the distressed expression of the little Lolita, Mei patted her head. "Yeah, go on! You vaporized all the spirits she wanted to capture, so it's only fair."

"I am sorry, I got carried away," Yuto said, scratching his head with a sheepish grin. He'd obliterated Kishimojin before Yayoi could capture her.

"It's okay, Yuto big brother," Yayoi replied earnestly, blinking her big eyes. "She was too strong for my shikigami anyway. Plus, her body's full of treasures, I just need her statue for a spirit tool."

Yuto nodded, recalling the original story. Kishimojin's statue was potent, starting with short-range light attacks, it later became a ghost slaying blade.

Inside the temple, they found the statue, brutally dismantled by Mei and Yayoi. 'Poor cursed spirit,' Yuto thought. Not only had he destroyed her spirit, but now her remains were being scavenged too.

The torso was massive compared to the limbs. As Yuto stored it in his inventory, the system pinged:

[Congratulations! Acquired Special-Grade Cursed Object: Kishimojin Statue (Complete). Reward: 5 Saint Quartz.]

With 58 Saint Quartz now, and two from 22 Saint Quartz fragments, he has enough for two 10-pulls. "Jackpot," he muttered, grinning.

Outside, the night was still, the moon veiled in mist. If not for the blasted landscape, it'd be peaceful. Yuto took out two cartons from his bag and handed them to girls enhanced by his [Power of Food] craft essence, restoring their energy. Learning Yayoi had come alone by bus, he took his motorcycle and drove her home to her cousin Eiko Hozuki.

Even though she informed her cousin in advance that she will be late as she is going to a classmate's house, she was still scolded for being late.

"Thank you so much for dropping her off," Eiko said, her voice trembling with relief.

Yuto offered a brief, reassuring smile. After exchanging a few simple greetings, Yuto waved them off.

......…..

The next morning, after the grueling battle, Yuto slept deeply.

A gentle weight stirred him awake—Yukino Mifuyui, bare and close, nestled against him. After battling the infant spirits, she had spent the night 'exercising' with him. Her soft, full chest pressed lightly against his arm, while her legs draped over him in a warm, tender embrace.

Her long, light blue hair cascaded straight down like crystalline snowflakes, offering a refreshing contrast to the sweltering Tokyo heat.

"Morning, Master," she purred, smiling contentedly. The two lingered in bed, savoring a peaceful moment together.

After lingering in bed, she dressed him with meticulous care. Today, he'd taken a day off to teach Kirisu Mafuyu magic basics. After removing her Cursed Ring, Mafuyu had recovered. Now it's time to awaken her Mana circuits.
