To be honest, the Sun Moon Empire didn't mind taking in immigrants.

Take, for example, a certain unnamed War God from the original story Juzi. Her teacher, Xuan Ziwen, was technically a second generation Sun Moon citizen.

After all, Xuan Ziwen's parents weren't originally from the Sun Moon Empire; they had moved there later.

Because Shrek Academy valued its Martial Soul Department more, its Soul Tool Department always got stuck with the leftovers students who weren't chosen for the Martial Soul Department. If funding hadn't been so tight, Soul Tool Department instructor Qian Duoduo wouldn't have spent all his time trying to poach Yan Shaozhe's students.

As everyone knew, soul tools had a painfully frustrating requirement the stronger the soul tool, the stronger the soul master needed to be in order to control it.

Still, he forced a smile and said, "Thank you, Uncle Zhang! So when do we leave?"

"We'll leave tomorrow morning. Don't worry, I've already reported your case to my superiors. They're very interested in you. Once I drop you off near the Mingdou Mountains, someone will escort you to Mingdu!"

Tianmeng Iceworm suddenly spoke up. "Yuhao, why are you going to the Sun Moon Empire? It's much farther than Shrek Academy.

"Shrek Academy is the number one academy on the continent. Since those two humans invited you earlier, why not just go with them? Wouldn't it be easier to enroll there?"

Huo Yuhao replied, "Brother Tianmeng, my Spirit Eyes is a spiritual type martial soul. According to Zhang Jin, that makes me perfect for becoming a soul engineer. And the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineering Academy is the holy land for soul engineers.

"Besides, my innate soul power is only at rank one. Even if I got into Shrek, no one would take me seriously at first.

"So I'd rather go to an academy that actually values spiritual type soul masters. That way, I'll have more resources early on."

Of course, the main reason was to avoid falling under Tang San's control.

Led by a square faced academy instructor, Huo Yuhao walked into the academy.

Zhang Jin had kept his promise and ensured that Huo Yuhao arrived safely at the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineering Academy.

To be fair, the academy's entrance requirements were pretty easy anyone who obtained a soul ring before the age of twelve could enroll.

Compared to Shrek Academy, this was laughably simple.

After all, Shrek's requirement was reaching Rank 15 before twelve!

"Huo Yuhao, according to the academy's rules, I have to conduct an entrance examination for you.

"My name is Tang you can call me Teacher Tang.

"Once you pass the exam, you'll officially become a student at the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineering Academy! But don't worry it's just a formality. Since you already meet the entry requirements, you won't have any trouble."

As Teacher Tang spoke, he led Huo Yuhao toward the academy's first year teaching building.

The so called examination was really just a physical assessment. Every new student had to undergo this process so the academy could better understand their current condition.

Soon, they entered a classroom filled with large soul tools.

Teacher Tang brought Huo Yuhao to one of the machines and smiled.

"This is the Soul Tool Physical Assessment Device. It will scan your body and record your stats.

"But to ensure the results aren't affected by external factors, please remove any soul tools you're carrying."

Huo Yuhao nodded. "Understood, Teacher Tang."

He took off the White Tiger Dagger and placed it on a nearby table.

"Alright, I'm activating the assessment device now. Stand in front of the scanner," Teacher Tang instructed.

A beam of white light shot out from the machine, enveloping Huo Yuhao completely.
