Chapter 2

I watched this guy shaking his head like that, and I couldn't help but get angry.

I went into the room, grabbed a sword, and rushed out, wanting to cut him down.

In an instant, he was gone without a trace.

I returned to the room dejectedly.

No one cared about me, I was abandoned by the whole world.

Is it better to stay in the room and let nature take its course?

Or is it better to travel around without saying goodbye?

This thought popped into my head, and I just did it.

Packing some gold and silver notes, with a small bag slung over my shoulder, I went to fetch my horse and left.

I didn't even know where my horse took me, to which state or county.

Randomly checked into an inn.

But when you're unlucky, even drinking water can get something stuck in your teeth.

"Waa~ I'm a dying person."

"And you vile creatures are still coming to steal my things."

I thought I was about to die.

Couldn't sleep at all.

Just closed my eyes, pretending to rest.

Then someone crept into my room from this shady inn.

The two of them just rummaged through my bag like that.

I suddenly cried out loud, which startled them a lot instead.

I didn't care and kept talking about how miserable I was.

The innkeeper and the waiter touched their noses, feeling a bit guilty.

The two put down the bundle and tried to appease me.

"Dear lady, please be kind and stop crying."

"Please don't wake the other guests."

"We won't steal your things, and we'll even offer you a table of fine wine and food, okay?"

Saying this, they retreated.

In less than a burning incense stick's time, they really brought a table of fine wine and food.

I hadn't eaten well today.

Truly, I was a bit hungry.

"Dear lady, please have your meal."

"As long as you're alive for another day, you should go all out to enjoy yourself."

I was persuaded by the innkeeper.

"Innkeeper, I think you make sense."

Then I started drinking and eating heartily.
