Soon, Estrella's sobs echoed through the hotel.

"All you ever do is hit me! When have you ever truly cared about me?"

After her outburst, she ran out of the hotel with her face in her hands, shooting me a nasty glare as she passed by.

Mom could sense that Estrella probably wasn't telling the truth, and she pulled me behind her protectively.

"Ugh, it's a shame our return tickets are already booked. Changing them would be too expensive. Let's just hang in there for a few more days."
