(6) Small favors

"That's a lot." Liana stared at the coin in confusion.

It was the first time she had seen a gold coin and wasn't interested in it at all, as it was a gift from someone she hadn't even known for a day.

"This is just one coin mama, not many." Derel said innocently.

Liana massaged his head softly "It's true it's only one, but there are many."

"Uncle Geral gave it to us Mama, let's accept it." Deon told his mama not to return the gold coin.

Because it was originally from Geraldo's gift and the three of them did not ask, a valuable gift should certainly be accepted.

What's more this coin is very valuable for their survival.

Geraldo just realized that his clothes were covered up to his face, maybe Liana thought he was a bad person.

"Yes uncle, we want to go home on foot." Daniel replied.

"Why are you walking? There are many horse-drawn carriages in this market."

After that Geraldo returned to the place where Lain, Deon, Derel and Daniel were waiting for him to return.

"I've ordered a horse-drawn carriage for you to return home."

"What? A carriage?"

Liana looked at Geraldo with a serious look "Do I have to pay you?" She asked again to make sure.

Liana didn't want him to do anything to her or her children, so she did her best not to owe anyone.

For now, she trusted only her three children.

"I told you, you don't have to pay. It is my own will to order a horse-drawn carriage so that the four of you don't get tired." Geraldo explained again.

But now he explained in a firm tone, meaning that he wasn't playing around with his words, he meant what he said.

He was sincere about helping Liana and the three children.

Liana sighed deeply "Then thank you very much, Mr. Geral. You've helped us so much."

Liana bowed in respect to Geraldo.

"There's no need to overdo it." Geraldo said, holding Liana's shoulder lightly.

Deon, Daniel and also Derel looked at Geraldo's face.

The three of them whispered to each other.

"Why are uncle Geral's ears so red? Did he get bitten by a mosquito?" Derel asked Deon and Daniel.

Daniel shook his head, indicating that he didn't know what was going on.

While Deon just guessed "maybe, it could also be due to allergies."

Derel nodded in understanding, "I think it's allergies." He also agreed with Deon.

"Children, thank uncle Geral as well." Liana commanded looking at the three children.

They focused their eyes forward and nodded.

"Thank you very much uncle Geral." The three of them replied in unison while displaying their sincere smiles.

Geraldo was even more embarrassed and mesmerized, he felt very useful to the four of them and Geraldo was proud of that.

"You're both handsome boys." Geraldo replied to them equally pleased.

"Now follow me, I'll take you to where the carriage is." Geraldo became more confident in front of the four of them, somehow his heart was happy to see the four of them.

This mother and son turned out to be adorable.

The four of them nodded in agreement and followed Geraldo like chicks following where their mother took them.
