The X-Hunters

Chapter 17: The X-Hunters

Kael-X stood in the center of the crater, his long silver hair covering his eyes, motionless. Around him, the dust from the facility's destruction was still settling, the air thick with smoke and the distant echoes of alarms.

But he wasn't alone.

They had arrived.

Six figures stood around him, dressed in black exosuits, their bodies humming with an eerie energy. Their suits weren't ordinary—they pulsed with technology far beyond Earth's military. Kael-X could feel it—their speed, their power.

They weren't just soldiers.

They were hunters.

X-Hunters.

"Target acquired," one of them said through his helmet's communicator.

"Engaging Phase One."

---

First Contact

The first X-Hunter vanished.

Kael-X barely tilted his head as a black blur shot toward him at a speed that would have torn apart a normal human. The ground cracked as the hunter moved, a sonic boom erupting behind him.

FAST.

But not fast enough.

Kael-X sidestepped effortlessly.

"Too slow."

Before the hunter could react, Kael-X's elbow smashed into his stomach like a cannonball. The impact sent the soldier flying backward, crashing through the ruins like a broken doll.

BOOM!

The crater trembled as the body hit the ground, leaving a long trench.

One down.

"Formation B!" one of the remaining hunters barked.

Kael-X watched with mild interest as the others moved in perfect synchronization. Within seconds, they had surrounded him again, moving with inhuman coordination.

They were smart.

They knew they couldn't beat him one-on-one.

So they were going to overwhelm him together.

"Let's see how well you dance," Kael-X muttered.

The fight was about to begin.

---

Storm of Blows

It was chaos.

The moment Kael-X moved, they moved too.

One attacked from the front—fist coated in a glowing blue energy.

Kael-X caught it mid-air.

Another soldier slid beneath him, aiming a plasma blade at his ribs.

Kael-X lifted his leg, dodging effortlessly.

A third soldier appeared behind him, firing an energy rifle point-blank.

Kael-X twisted, using the first soldier's body as a shield.

The blast hit his own teammate.

"Tch," the soldier cursed, leaping back.

Kael-X grinned. They were good.

But he was better.

With a flick of his wrist, he sent the first soldier flying into the second. They collided mid-air, crashing through the remains of a steel wall.

The last three hunters hesitated.

"No way…" one whispered.

Kael-X vanished.

For a split second, the battlefield was silent.

Then—

BOOM!

A shockwave tore through the ground as Kael-X reappeared behind them. His hand gripped the helmet of the nearest hunter.

"You lose.

You can't defeat me,accept that into your thick skull 💀"

CRACK.

With a single motion, Kael-X slammed him into the ground. The force created a massive crater, sending debris flying in all directions.

The last two soldiers backed away, their confidence shattered.

This wasn't a fight.

This was a massacre.

---

The Real Battle Begins

Just as Kael-X was about to finish them off, a new presence arrived.

A single figure.

Unlike the others, this one didn't wear a full exosuit. Instead, he wore a high-tech combat suit, sleek and reinforced with glowing red circuits. His face was visible—scarred, but confident.

Kael-X could tell immediately.

"Again,you guys are a headache"

This one was different.

"You've caused quite the mess," the man said, stepping forward.

Kael-X cracked his knuckles. "And you must be the next one I'm about to destroy."

The man smirked.

"Name's Orion. Captain of the X-Hunters."

"And I'm not like the others."

Kael-X raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"

"Yeah." Orion rolled his shoulders. "Because I have this."

"Really, let's have it" said Kael-x

He reached into his belt and pulled out a small metallic capsule. The moment he activated it, a violent red energy erupted from his body.

Kael-X's eyes narrowed beneath his hair.

Compound-X.

Orion had it.

"Foolish entity, you're gonna make me stronger again"

"Time for round two," Orion grinned.

And then—

He disappeared.
